A start

Meredith's POV

Addison served me up French toast but the smell of it made me feel sick, I don't know why but the smell of the eggs just makes me feel nauseous. I'm not hungry plus I can't eat that it's got to much sugar, I didn't run enough this morning to eat something that dense but if I let Arizona and Addison see I don't eat again they will say something. I carefully cut up the toast as if I'm going to eat it, I don't know how to hide it they will notice if I throw it away,
"Everything ok Meredith? Addison asks sitting down to eat her own breakfast.
"Yeah, thank you." I reply quietly, why do they care so much, why do they keep checking on my it's not as if I'm worth it. Arizona comes back into the room, sitting down to the table as well.
"Oh Addie do you want some coffee?" She asks standing up again, accidentally knocking the table causing the syrup bottle to fall over spilling slightly on my hand.
"Oh gosh Meredith, I'm sorry here." She passes me a stack of serviettes.
"Thank you." I say quietly again using the napkins to wipe up the mess.
"Goodness me Ari, you are to clumsy for your own good in the mornings." Addison says standing up to help Arizona with the coffee,
"Meredith would you like some coffee?" Addison asks turning back to me.
"No thank you." I say I hate coffee, everything about it the smell that taste, the fact that my mother always smelt of it even in the late hours of the night; but for once I'm grateful for it both Arizona and Addison are looking in the cupboards and can't see me. I quickly grab one of the serviettes Arizona passed me and shoved a few pieces of the French toast in there before stuffing it in my pocket. If I do the whole thing they will be suspicious I'm not stupid and this isn't my first time.
It doesn't take Arizona and Addison long to sit back down both with coffees in hand.
"Oh did you like the French toast, Mer honey?" Addison asks smiling as she say I'd 'eaten' some.
"It was nice thank you." I say smiling slightly,
"But I'm full do you mind if I go finish getting ready, um I'll need to um..get ready to um...I..." I start to ask stuttering over my words.
"Of course honey, you don't have to ask for permission. Although Arizona and I would like to discuss something with you in a minute," Addison explained softly, smiling at me.

Addisons POV

I watch Meredith leave the kitchen, I'm glad she ate something, even if it wasn't much, I hope we can get her to open up again. I messed up last night by pushing her.
"Hey don't stress, about last night, you couldn't have known, we focus on the now." Arizona said smiling squeezing my hand. Sometimes I swear she's better at reading my emotions then I am.
"Thanks Zona, did you notice she ate some of her breakfast?" I say smiling,
"I did, see its improvement already. Now hurry up and eat yourself so we can talk to her before we take her to visit Ellis." She says standing up and putting her dishes in the dishwasher.

Arizona's POV
I'm worried about Meredith as well but it won't do us any help if we both freak out, and Addie is worrying so I need to push my worries away. I quickly get changed before heading back out to the lounge room, where I see Addie is just finishing her breakfast.
"I'll go check on Meredith while I grab my clothes, are you ok if I send her out here while I get changed?" Addison asks putting both hers and Meredith dishes in the sink.
"Of course," I say smiling, I'll check Meredith's cut's while Addie gets ready and then we can talk to her together.

Meredith's POV
I'm just finished getting ready when Addison comes into the room.
"I hope you don't mind I used your hairbrush, I should have asked sorry." I say quietly, quickly standing up so I'm not in her way.
"No it's no worries at all, I'm glad you found it ok, I swear sometime I put it in the most random of places." She laughs, "if you ready Arizona's in the lounge if you want to go talk to her I've just got to get dressed." She continues.
Of course this is her room how could I be so stupid,
"Yeah yeah ok," I say before leaving the room and heading out to the lounge.

Arizona's POV
As I see Meredith come out she looks beautiful her hair is neatly brushed and sits perfectly,
"Hey Mer," I say softly, as she hears the nickname I can see her face soften. "Come sit down," I gently pat the couch next to me. She sits down, looking down into her hands,
"Meredith, honey, how are you feeling?" I ask, I know I'm pressing her a bit but she won't open up at all if we don't push I'm just hoping I don't push to far.
"I'm fine." She says,
"Good, now Mer sweetie can I quickly check your cuts from yesterday just to make sure they are healing properly, and see if they need a new bandage." I coo smiling at her. As she looks up I swear I can nearly see tears in her eyes.
"Hey hey, sweetheart it's ok, come here." I pull her into a hug. I can feel her crying softly against my top, she stops pretty quickly but my heart breaks for her.
"You can look." She mumbles pulling back from the hug
"Thank you," I say softly, taking her hands in mine before pulling back her sleeves. The bandage looks slightly loose,
"Did you take the bandage off?" I ask gently I really don't want to push her, she's let her walls come down again and I don't want them to got back up. She doesn't say anything just nods,
"Um i, the shower." She mumbles
"Ah that makes sense no worries, I'll just grab a new bandage ok, wait here." I say before quickly jumping up to grab our first aid kit from the kitchen.
As I take off the old bandages my heart breaks, even though I only saw it yesterday the sight of the girls arms they are covered with cuts, the poor thing. I quickly check the cuts from yesterday they seem to be healing ok, then I re-wrap them.
"There you go all done, they are healing perfectly." I say softly smiling, "ah and perfect timing here come Addie." I smiling, as Addison enters the lounge.
"All looking ok?" she ask sitting down on Meredith's other side.
"Perfect." I reply, smiling. "Now honey we wanted to talk to you about visiting your mother today." I explain, Meredith looks up at me but doesn't seem to recoil at the topic. Addison looks at me before I nod for her to continue.
"I'm guessing it's not an easy thing to do, so we will take you today and then we can drop by your house grab some of your things and come back here." She continues. Meredith looks between the two of us,
"Hey hey, breathe remember breathe." I say pulling Meredith into my lap on the couch, she doesn't seem to fight it which is a good sign.
"Honey let me explain, we just want to keep you safe and it's easier to do that here." Addie explains now sitting in front of Meredith.
"But you can't..you can't come with me to see Ellis. No and then I can go home I don't need to stay here. I'm a burden to you, I don't want to be a burden to you." Meredith says pushing herself of my lap back onto the coach.
"Your not a Burden, sweat-heart." I coo, "and we want to come with you to see Ellis so we know how to help you and you don't have to explain it."
"No, I don't need...no Ellis made me promise I wouldn't tell anyone I already messed up telling you. You can't." She says starting to cry, I try to hug her again but before I can Addie's beaten me to it pulling her into her arms instead.
"We can and we are going to, ok. Then we can grab some of your clothes that will fit you better and your other stuff and you can come stay here just for a bit." Addie explains, gently rubbing Meredith's back, I can see Meredith start to try to come up with an excuse but I stop her before she even try's
"Meredith you let us help you or will we have to report this to Richard, and truthfully I don't think that will help you right now but we don't know what else we can do to help, so what's your decision?" I say firmly following Addisons lead. It's the truth we are worried about her and right now we don't have to tell Richard we will eventually but if she doesn't let us help her I need to tell Richard and he is required to sent her to Physic whether it was intentional or not what she did would count her as requiring a 5150.
"I'll stay." She mumbles into Addie. Thank god,
"Thank you," I say, smiling at Addie.
Eventually Meredith let go of Addie, her eyes where glassy but they still looked beautiful.
"Um..should we um..go..she at Roseridge Home." Meredith says quietly, standing up.
"Yes let's go, do you need to take anything to visit her?" I ask, she just shakes her head.
"I'll grab the keys and meet you in the car." Addison says, I carefully guide Meredith out to the car waiting for Addie to unlock it.
Once we've driven for a bit I here Meredith start to say something again.
"Sorry honey, could you repeat that I didn't quite catch the start?" I ask gently smiling at her in the review mirror.
"Um, it's probably better that um only one of you actually comes with me to see my mother. She won't notice one of you in the corner but she might notice both of you together." Meredith explains matter a fact.
"That's fine, I'll go in with you." I answer, looking over to Addison.
"Thank you," she mouths silently.
I just squeeze her hand, silently acknowledging her.

Sorry about the delay, it wasn't that I didn't want to update it was actually that I got so excited about what's to come I wasn't sure how to write this bit.
I hope the slightly longer chapter makes up for the delay.
