Meant to be.

Three weeks later

Arizona's POV

I'm going home today, and I feel good. I still feel guilty about what happened but I know it wasn't my fault. Meredith was struggling but she probably would have come home if it wasn't for Derek. After finding out his actions also triggered me the board stripped him of his medical license and last I heard his entire family had cut him off.

My time in the hospital really helped and I'm so glad I was able to ask Addison for help, she keeps telling me how proud she was of me that I did that and I'm finally starting to believe her.
"You ready Zona?" Addie asks, packing up the last of my stuff
"Yep," I say smiling,
We head to the car, Meredith holding my hand,
"How about we go somewhere before we go home?" Addison asks as she helps Meredith into the car,

"Where would we go?" I ask confused
"What about a picnic?" Addie asks and I love that idea.
The day is beautiful just the right temperature,
"That sounds great Addie," I say smiling
"Mer?" She asks, looking at Meredith
"I don't know," Meredith says looking down
"I've packed all your safe foods bug", Addie adds smiling,
"Yeah ok then." Meredith says smiling, "where are we going?" She asks
"You'll find out soon baby," Addison laughs as she gets in the car,

It doesn't take us long to get to the car, Addie has the picnic ready in the car, I'm so lucky to have her,
As I look around the park I notice is basically empty, and there is a play ground, I can feel my headspace starting to slip,
"Pumpkin go play," Addie says laughing,
And I run off towards the playground

Addison's POV

I smile as Arizona runs towards the playground,
"Bug, don't be afraid no one else it here," I say, "go going Zona on the playground" I say laughing as I see Meredith eager to go play
"Thanks mummy" she says following Zona

I smile as the two of them play on the playground, setting up picnic blanket.

Once they are finished playing, both of my girls come and join me on the blanket, digging into the food I'd made,

After we finish eating, Arizona runs off into playing in grass making a daisy chain, but Meredith stays at my side crawling into my lap,
"Do you want to nurse baby girl?" I ask, and she nods,
"Ok baby," I say grabbing the muslin cloth from the basket, and resting it over my shoulder as I pull up my shirt letting Meredith attach,
I bought this blanket just recently and it's been amazing, I can still see mer as she nurses but it keeps her and myself covered,

I smile as she feeds when her eyes open wise looking up at me,
"Milkies?"she says
"Yes baby girl, you can actually nurse now." I say smiling, as she starts to feed.
Eventually she falls asleep, and I softly lay her down, covering her with the cloth before joining Zona in the grass,
"Look Addie, I made a crown," she says holding up a daisy chain,
"Perfect for my pumpkin princess" I say putting the flower crown on her head, before leaning in to tickle her, her giggles spreading throughout the park as she laughs.

One Year Later
Third Person POV

"You sure you're ready?" Addison asks,
"Yep, I'm certain" Meredith says smiling as she sits down in the tattoo chair,
"I'm so proud of how far you've come, both of you." Addison says smiling, at Meredith and Arizona
"Thank you Addie," Meredith says as the same time as Arizona
"Ok what do you think of the stencil?" The tattoo artist asks holding up the mirror to reveal a stencil of a butterfly tattoo made up of a semi-colon in the centre and two large letter A's as the main two wings.
"It's perfect." Meredith replied,
"Ok I'll start then" the tattoo artist replied, as Meredith smiled at Arizona and Addison.

After Meredith's Tattoo was finished
"How about a picnic?" Addison suggested as they got back into the car, after there first one a year ago it's become a bit of a tradition for the tri to have picnics in the park.
"I'd love that," Meredith replied
"Me too," Arizona added smiling,
"Well good thing I have one packed and ready" Arizona laughed
"You always do" Meredith laughed,

The trio made their way to the park enjoying each others company and the sun,

Addison's POV

I don't know why I'm nervous, I love both these women so much and I know they love me yet still I'm nervous,
Nows my chance they are both laughing as they make daisy chains together,

I slowly kneel down pulling the boxes out of the basket,
Meredith is the first to turn around, her gasp causing Arizona to turn

"I know we aren't the usual couple and we can't actually get married but would the both of you take this ring as a symbol of my unending love for the both of you? As a symbol as my commitment to our lovely little family?" I ask, I know we can't get married, even if it wasn't three of us, same sex marriage isn't legal, but one day it might be and I want these lovely two women by my side when the world catches up to our love.

"Yes yes yes" Mer cheers answering at the same time as Zona
"Of course, my love, I would love to." Arizona answers,

And in that moment I knew we were always meant to be.
