Sleepy Babies

Addison's POV

Ari has slipped out of her headspace by the time we went to bed, which meant she was able to prepare Mer's bottle feed, which was helpful as Meredith was a bit restless so just sitting with her on our bed seemed to be the better option.

The next morning,

I'm the first to wake once again, I don't mind though I just sit there watching the sun stream in on my two beautiful girls, I don't know what I did to deserve them but I'm eternally grateful,
"Addie?" Arizona asks quietly as she sits up,
"Yeah," I respond smiling,
"Do you have work today?" She asks, playing with the sheets in front of her,
"Not until later today pumpkin, but you can slip remember you don't have to hid anymore." I coo, gently
"Thanks Addie," she says and I watch her face soften,
"Addie I'm hungry?" She says a bit louder than before,
"Ok pumpkin let's go get some breakfast then," I smile, "I'll meet you in the kitchen, just let me put Mer in the crib," I explain gently picking up Meredith, she definitely will need to have breakfast but I know she's tired and she's working an overnight shift tonight so I want her to sleep a bit more and she doesn't like being in the big bed alone.
"Ok Addie" Ari exclaims happily before skipping off the the kitchen,

Once Meredith is settled I join Zona in the kitchen smiling as she sits at the table drawing a picture,
"Look Addie I'm drawing" she says holding up the paper,
"You are it looks good pumpkin, what would you like for breakfast?" I ask,
She thinks for a moment before deciding, Arizona and I are about half way through our breakfast when Meredith enters the room, we specifically picked a crib she would be able to get out of herself, feeling trapped is one of Meredith's biggest triggers, our sessions with Dr Wyatt have helps us discover that.
Meredith told us once that Ellis used to just leave her in her room for hours on end while she worked, even if Meredith cried to be let out she wouldn't not to eat or use the bathroom or anything. Ellis was an evil women and I can't believe she treated that poor little things like that, everyday I feel like we discover some other awful thing about Meredith's childhood and it hurts but it also makes me grateful Ari and I are able to change that give her the childhood she needs.
"You ready for breakfast Mer?" I ask smiling, and she seems hesitant but nods, breakfast is always the hardest meal for her, I don't know why but she doesn't normally eat much I don't mind though because she's trying,

Meredith's POV
As I walk into the kitchen I see Zona and Addie eating, I know I have to eat breakfast but I don't like it. I always feel nauseous in the morning so it makes it hard to want to eat anything,
"You ready for breakfast Mer?" Addie asks me, and I nod,
"Ok, same as normal?" She asks and I nod again, I know she probably thinks I'm weird for always eating the same thing but it's the only thing I kinda like in the mornings
"Sounds good my love, sit down, I'll get it for you." She coos and I sit, choosing now to sit in one of the normal chairs today, we don't talk much as we eat, which to be fair isn't that much of a change from normal neither Ari or I are really morning people,
"Mer my love do you want me to do your hair before work?" Addie asks once we are finished,
"Yes please," I say smiling, I like the feeling, of her fingers running through my hair as she braids it.

Addison's POV
I smile at Arizona while I do Meredith's hair, she's taking a lot longer than normal to eat her breakfast but I'm not surprised, she isn't really focused on it more on her drawing.
It doesn't take me long to finish braiding Meredith's hair,
"Ok Mer, can you go get dressed?" I ask, and she nods,
"Good girl," I smile as she heads back to the bedroom.
"Ari baby," I coo and she looks up at me from her drawing, "you ok?"
"I'm fine Addie, I'm just drawing." Arizona replies smiling,
"Good girl, here have some more of your breakfast" I say picking it up and starting to feed her, once I started feeding her she finished much quicker, and I can't help but laugh a bit,
"Can I do your hair pumpkin?" I ask knowing we all need to head into work soon, Arizona just nods still focused on her drawing,
I do her hair the same as Meredith, gently pulling is back into two braids, smiling when I'm done as Meredith enters the room, ready for work.
"Ari baby, we need to head into work soon can you come out of your headspace and go finish getting ready?" I ask gently running my fingers along her back,
"Thanks Addie." She says sitting up a bit for in her chair,
"You don't need to thank me, I love looking after you monkeys," I say smiling at both Mer and Ari, "can I give you both a kiss?" I ask,
"Please," Arizona replies,
"Yes," Meredith smiled,
And I lean in to kiss both my girls,

The day at work went smoothly, Meredith was on Arizona's service again no one has really questioned her being on only mine and Ari's service but it has only been two weeks so hopefully it's ok, as we keep going.

A week later, one night after work.

We all get home exhausted from our shifts in the hospital I don't know what was going on but the hospital was crazy, so busy.

All three of us are sitting watching the tv, and I can feel Arizona getting antsy beside me,
"Pumpkin if you want to slip you can, remember you don't have to fight it." I coo, Meredith is already regressed and is sitting in my lap, I'm pretty sure she's half asleep but I don't really mind.
"Are you sure Addie, you never signed up for this you started dating me, thinking we would look after Meredith together, you thought you where going into this looking after one little with a partner to help you and now I've burdened you not only with another little but now your by yourself with two littles." She asks looking at me and I can see the tears in her eyes,
"Oh Ari no, you are not a burden please don't ever say that about yourself, and I didn't start a relationship with you just because you where there to help me look after Meredith, I started a relationship with you, because I love you, and I want to be with you and protect you no matter what, and I love looking after the two of you, this last week had been amazing, I have two precious little angles to look after and care for, I wouldn't change that for the world. So please baby, let yourself slip, I've got you no matter what." I answer, wiping a tear that's fallen down her cheek.
"Thank you Addie I love you." She says smiling,
"I love you too pumpkin," I reply,
"I wove you too Zona," I hear a sleepy voice say from my lap,
"I love you too bug," Arizona replied, before letting herself slip, cuddling tighter into my side.
"And I wove woo Addie." Meredith continued, yawning half way through,
"I love you too bug, get some sleep." I coo running my hand through her hair.
