"Oh, you can just google it", Taylor said slightly insecure. She sat across Travis at her dining table in New York. It was the second time they met in person now and they got more and more comfortable asking deeper and more personal questions. They were just talking about the 1989 tour and Taylor had mentioned on a side note that she hasn't been able to deal with the amount of physical work that every concert had needed from her as well as she was on the current tour. Travis was a bit confused because she didn't look like she would actually want him to google it. "I don't think I will", he said honestly.

Now Taylor looked at him just as confused as he had looked at her before. "I mean, we're here to get to know each other, and if I would just google you, why would I be here then?", he explained himself. "Yeah", she mumbled. "Why would you anyway?", she added inaudible for him. She had questioned that before. What did he even want from her? Their worlds were so different. And he would only get in trouble as soon as they were seen together just once. Him mentioning her in his podcast already started a lot more rumors than he had expected. He admitted that before.

"It's okay if you don't want to tell me", he brought her back to reality after a short awkward silence. "But I won't just go and google stuff you don't want me to know about. It wouldn't even be your perspective", he continued trying to make eye contact with her so she would believe him. And she did. His eyes made her trust him so many times with the little things she told him already. Sometimes she wasn't sure if this wasn't going too fast too deep. They had been texting a lot between their dates and sometimes it made her anxious when she was alone. In the beginning, she was so sure about wanting to meet him and see where this would go. Now that it did feel like it could go somewhere, she was scared again. Still, his eyes let her forget about that. She just got lost in them.

When she recognized that she should answer him, she smiled almost shyly. "I'll tell you some other time", she decided and expected him to be disappointed but he wasn't. He just nodded taking a sip of his drink. "Thank you", she said before even thinking about it. "What for?", he wanted to know. This had happened before. She had said thank you for things that he didn't know he was doing because they just seemed so normal. "For not googling and... I don't know... it feels nice that you care about my perspective on my life I guess", she recognized while talking that most people wouldn't even have to think about that. Travis couldn't hold back a small laugh but she smiled too. It was absurd but it was her life and when he had learned one thing through talking to her, it was that her life was even more absurd than he expected it to be.

They continued to talk about deep and less deep topics for another few hours before they got tired. It wasn't the first time she had invited him to stay in her guest room for the night. "Do you need anything else? Some water maybe?", she asked him after he helped her clean the table and kitchen. "I'd take a bottle with me if that's okay", he said. "Sure!", she gave him one before they made their way to the bedrooms. "Good night Taylor", he stopped by the door to his room. "Good night", she smiled at him getting lost in his eyes again. She decided to not hold back and pull him down a little for a kiss on the cheek. They both flushed grinning at each other for a little longer before he finally went into his room.

Taylor went to bed too but she couldn't shake off the thoughts about why he decided to get to know her. Why he didn't get scared after all the attention that came with just the one podcast episode. Where would this go? Where did she even want this to go? She wanted to trust him. And even though Tree had already made him sign an NDA, she had a hard time doing it. That wasn't new of course. So many people she had trusted turned out to be not worthy of any trust at all. Turning around, Taylor saw the clock on her nightstand. It was almost three a.m. already. When did the time pass? She knew she wouldn't sleep anymore so she decided to get up instead.
