The next few weeks were a mix of promotion for 1989 TV and tour rehearsals for Taylor. The South American leg of the tour would start soon and she couldn't wait to see Travis in Buenos Aires the second night. They were also scanning the weather radars constantly because it looked like there would be a lot of rain and thunderstorms going on. Taylor was really hoping to be able to play but as long as it would be safe, she wouldn't cancel anything. The first night in Argentina, she couldn't sleep too well. It looked like the concert would be a rain show if even playable. But it cleared up a bit over the day and they decided to play. It wasn't too easy to postpone a show anyway.

Being back on Stage after the break felt incredible. Taylor had all her strength back and all of her dancers and band members were just as excited. She also couldn't wait to see Travis the next day which was a reason for her to go to bed early. The night would be over quicker if she was asleep. Luckily, that worked out well and the next morning began with a text from Travis that he was on his way. He had sent it about an hour ago, so it couldn't take him too much longer. But the weather was all over the place again. The rain got worse and better every couple of minutes, and thunder and lightning seemed to endanger tonight's show. Taylor's crew informed her that it was very likely that they wouldn't be able to play. Her emotions went up and down just as chaotic.

"Hey beautiful lady", Travis entered her hotel room around noon. Her security had let him in. Taylor immediately jumped off the bed to greet him with a hug and kisses. "I missed you so much", she told him while he wrapped his arms around her. "I missed you too. I heard the show tonight might have to be postponed?", he asked. Taylor sighed nodding. "Rain isn't the problem but the thunder and lightning might be dangerous", she explained. "You really should listen to your team if they say it's not safe", he whispered knowing that she didn't want to postpone. "What if some people came here just for the show and if we postpone, they can't come?", she mumbled. "And what if you play and someone gets hurt because of the weather?", he argued. "I never cancel shows", Taylor said. "It's not said yet, is it? Maybe you can play safely", he said still not letting go of her. "But please promise me to not put yourself and the crew in danger", he asked her. "Says the football player", she mumbled. Travis sighed. "Tay, I know. We both don't have the safest jobs. But we both shouldn't put ourselves in more danger than necessary", he answered. Taylor sighed again. "Promise me?", he asked again. "Okay. I promise", she finally agreed.

And only about an hour later, Tree had bad news. The show would have to be postponed. Taylor protested but Travis reminded her of her promise and she also didn't want to put anyone in danger, so they settled on it. "Your dad is here today, isn't he?", Travis asked sitting on the bed with a sad and angry Taylor in his arms. She just nodded. "Do you think we can have dinner together? I know I'll meet him at the show tomorrow if not before but I'd like to get to know him with you by my side before watching the show with him", he explained. "I don't want to be seen out", she just said. "Can we eat down at the hotel? C'mon, we can't just lay here and think about how shitty the situation is", he tried to convince her. "What if I want to do this exact thing?", she asked hiding in his arms even more. "Tay, I know this is all annoying and you hate it even more than I do but please let's try to get some distraction. I hate seeing you like this. Also... We have to eat anyway", Travis didn't give up. "But we only eat and then leave", she finally suggested a compromise. "Okay", Travis said.

So they met her dad for dinner a little bit later. Taylor still wasn't very happy but she managed to go on with the day. She also liked that Travis wanted to meet her dad. He even brought a few Chiefes merch things for him. "Am I going to piss him off with these?", he asked a bit insecure. Taylor looked at him confused. "He's an Eagles fan isn't he?", Travis asked. Taylor chuckled a little. "Yes, but I'm sure he'll like the gesture. I'm not sure if he would ever wear it though", Taylor noted. He nodded and a moment later, Scott walked up to them in front of the hotel restaurant. "Hi, Dad", Taylor hugged him. "Hey. I'm sorry you had to postpone today", he said before turning to her boyfriend. "Hi, I'm Travis", he said nervously. Taylor's hand on his back felt like the only source of calmness. "I'm Scott, nice to meet you", her dad answered shaking his hand. He checked him out, Travis could feel that. "Nice to meet you too. As bad as the situation is, it's nice to meet you before the concert", he honestly answered. Scott nodded at that before they sat down at their table.

They ended up staying a little longer than just to eat, but Taylor still wasn't in the mood to have lighthearted conversations knowing that some of her fans were incredibly sad and angry at the weather or even her for postponing the show. Tree had texted her some updates and most of them were bad. "I like him", Scott whispered into Taylor's ear when they hugged to say goodbye. She smiled thankfully at him before the men shook hands again. In the elevator, Taylor and Travis were alone with her security again. "Thanks for going out with me tonight. I know your mood wasn't the best but it was great to meet your dad", he told her silently while having her leaning against his side. "It probably was better than laying in bed feeling miserable", she admitted looking up to kiss him.

So, yesterday would've been my Eras Tour Concert in Vienna and I'm incredibly sad and disappointed that I won't be able to see the show now.
It's safer to cancel the shows, I get that, but it still hurts.
We went to Vienna anyway and there are a lot of Swifties around to trade bracelets with and at Cornelisugasse everyone is singing and having as much fun as they could have despite the situation.
I hope the other concerts in London and then in Canada and the US will all be safe!
