Almost Annoying

The next day, Taylor woke up late. Travis was already gone. He had to meet with the team as early as possible. It was an absolute exception that he was even allowed to stay at home the night before the game. The team should normally stay together at the hotel to avoid distractions. But the hotel had messed up this time and everyone had to stay at home. Knowing what happened last night, it was probably for the better that they normally didn't do that because he definitely felt some parts of his body being a little more tired a little earlier. But, in his eyes, it had been worth it. Taylor found a note from him next to her in the bed when she turned around. "I'm sorry that I had to leave. Jason and Kylie will meet you at the stadium later, so relax some more. I love you", he had written.

Taylor got up to take a shower first and she absolutely felt what he had done to her. But she wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The shower helped and the body lotion too. She still ate breakfast standing at the counter in the kitchen. Maybe, if she'd sit less now, it wouldn't hurt too soon later at the stadium. It wasn't that she could see handprints on her butt but her skin was still a little red and the tight jeans she wanted to wear originally would probably not be it. "You successfully left marks", she texted him during breakfast. "You told me to not apologize but can I do anything else?", he quickly answered. She smiled knowing that he felt a little bad for it. "Let your ego grow about it rather than your worries. I'm good. You did nothing that I didn't want you to do", she texted back. "I take you by your word", he answered again. "You can. Now get back to practice. And if you play any worse because I let you have me the night before, I'll turn this game around", she warned him jokingly. "Uhh, now I'm scared", he joked with her. "I'll get back now. Love you", another message arrived seconds after. "Love you too", she quickly sent back before eating the rest of her food.

In the evening, Taylor got ready and prepared the living room for later. They would hang out with Jason and Kylie here instead of going to the after-party together. Taylor was a little nervous again arriving before Travis' brother and his wife. Some familiar faces were around too though and as soon as Jason and Kylie arrived, they greeted each other with warm hugs. They easily found something to talk about and Kylie was not only just as cool as Taylor had thought but also very funny. When the game started, she knew that everyone around her still knew so much more about what was going on down there than her. She looked at Kylie a few times trying to read from her face if the current situation on the field was good or not. She had been learning so much about this sport but today she felt like she knew nothing for some reason. But she knew her man and she concentrated on him.

The score was going good. Taylor caught on to that of course. And the win still brought so much excitement to everyone. People were jumping, screaming, and chanting. Taylor loved to be a part of this grinning at Travis the whole time. Also, she was glad to get up from the hard chair again. "Let's get another drink and then leave?", Kylie suggested over the noise. Taylor nodded but they got interrupted by another wave of screams. Jason had jumped out of the booth without his shirt but with a beer in his hand. Taylor couldn't believe her eyes. Kylie had kinda known about it but she still shook her head. "This man is insane. Just know what you're in for! His brother is not better!", she laughed to Taylor who tried to swallow the thoughts about how dangerous this actually was. "I had a feeling", she gave back watching the big man celebrate with the people before jumping back in the booth.

A few minutes later, Taylor sat in the backseat of her car waiting for Travis at the back of the stadium once more. Kylie and Jason would be with the others a little longer and then they'd meet again at Travis' place. Travis came almost running to the car quickly getting inside. "Congrats!", she threw her arms up giggling when he just hugged her. He smelled so good right after a shower. Taylor buried her nose in the crook of his neck. "Did you have a good time?", he asked when they sat back and started rolling. "Yeah, Kylie and I talked a lot. Your brother jumped out of the fucking booth a few minutes ago", she laughed. Travis laughed imagining this in his head. It definitely sounded like something Jason would do. And he could also imagine Kylie's face watching it.

Travis then pulled her as close as he could in the car for the rest of the drive. "Can we sit on the couch when we're home?", she mumbled feeling her butt still burn a little bit. Travis chuckled taking her hand. "Of course baby", he agreed before kissing her temple. "We shouldn't do that too often. I really don't want to explain to anyone like Tree why you can't sit for long", he mentioned. Now Taylor giggled and blushed bright red imagining anyone knowing about it. "It's a sometimes thing", she agreed. "But I liked it", she felt like he should know. "I could tell", he said smirking audibly. "But we should come up with something because I wasn't always sure if you were alright", he let her know. She smiled at his concern. Simply knowing that he cared meant a lot. She wouldn't ever let him do that if she wasn't sure that he would stop at any moment if she'd need him to. "We'll think of something. And maybe we turn it around at some point? So you should remember too", she let him know that this one time she had had the upper hand a few weeks ago would not be the last time. "I'm kinda excited already", he admitted silently. "Me too", she let him know.

"I just feel like... I don't know, I trust you and therefore we can just fuck around and find out in the most literal way. I've never had someone give me "scouts honor" at a party", she chuckled blushing again. "Noone ever tried to figure out what you liked or what?", he asked surprised. "No! I mean... Yes. Just... Noone was ever so comfortable with me around people I guess?", she assumed why it was the way it was. "Besides... I think the past few months... There's just another confidence in me. I don't even know. After all the shit, I started going out again, and I figured I could finally do whatever the hell I wanted. I feel... good about myself. My body but also my capabilities. Of course, I struggle sometimes. For example, earlier I felt like I still know nothing about football next to Kylie. But I know that I can learn and you don't judge me for this. It's just... I feel good", she tried to explain. Travis just smiled. He was so happy to hear her say that. Of course, he had seen her confidence put to work. He knew how strong she was. And he had seen her struggle too but that she seemed to feel so good after all just made him grin. "I'm so proud of you and I'm so happy for you too", he told her honestly. "I love you", he added. She smiled brightly at him. "I love you too", she said.

And suddenly they arrived at his place, the car with Jason and Kylie right behind. "Ready for some conversation tonight?", he asked making her look up confused. "I'm trying to say: If you feel like it's getting too much for you, you can say that and just go to bed or whatever", he explained. Now she caught on. He was still thinking about her mental breakdown after his mom had been there on New Year. "I will, but I don't think I'll have to", she said before they made their way inside. Travis greeted his brother and Kylie before walking them to the living room to sit down on the couch rather than at the table. Taylor smiled thankfully at him. The soft fabric felt so much better than the hard chair at the stadium. Travis immediately pulled her against his side their bodies melting into each other perfectly. The other two watched them smiling happily. Kylie had already had a sense after talking to Taylor that she was pretty much perfect for Travis and watching them together, she just felt proven right. Even Jason noticed the way his brother was suddenly so soft around her. They both seemed so relaxed and in love. It was almost annoying already.
