In the days up to the Super Bowl, Taylor was not only practicing and then going to Asia starting the next part of the tour in Japan. She was also watching her fans decipher her outfit from the Grammys and everything else she had said, done, or worn. Even Travis' outfits ended up being analyzed for clues. He found it funny though and asked if she wanted him to wear something specific to maybe actually give a clue to something. It also seemed like watching her and her fans helped him get his mind off of the big game every now and then.
And then it was time. Taylor prepared as much as she could before her show. The begs were packed and already brought to the plane. She had packed her Super Bowl outfit and the after-party outfit into an extra bag with the fitting accessories and a makeup bag. She would have to get ready on the plane. But first, there was a show to play. "Tay, concentrate on now okay? You have time to play a normal concert. Have fun, give your all, and then we care about getting you to your man. There are no signs that would let me assume you couldn't make it", Tree said before the show. Taylor was already in her outfit becoming more and more nervous. "Did you look at the weather? Because of the flight?", Taylor asked worried. "Of course! I checked every little thing. It's not the first time we have to hurry somewhere. It's gonna work. Don't think about that until you leave the stage, okay? You need to be concentrated. It would be dangerous otherwise", her publicist warned her. "Yeah. I know. I'll focus", Taylor agreed taking a few deep breaths. "Good. Are you ready then?", the other one asked. Taylor nodded and so the show began.
Luckily, Taylor was able to concentrate and forget about the Super Bowl for a while. She had fun on stage and put on a great show. But the second she got off stage afterward, the stress was back. She quickly got out of her outfit and took a quick shower before rushing out to the car. They got escorted by police but it still took a while to get through the traffic to the airport. Taylor nervously played with her fingers and looked outside the window. She decided to quickly text Travis. "We're on the way to the airport now. I think we'll make it. I love you!", she wrote and suddenly they were there. She almost ran up the stairs of the plane and impatiently waited till the Tree was there too and the door was closed. Her publicist had been silent the whole car ride unsure about how to calm Taylor down. She would be up for so long, being this stressed wouldn't do her any good. But when they were up in the air, Taylor naturally calmed down a bit. There was nothing she could do now until they were there anyway.
The women got some sleep on the plane but Taylor was still not relaxed enough to sleep for long. When it was time, she started to get ready. Putting on her outfit, she looked at herself in a small mirror trying to see how everything looked. She wasn't sure about the corset-type thing anymore. It was a little see-through and yesterday she felt great in it but right now it felt strange. But she decided to get her hair and makeup done first and then check again. When she was fully ready, she stood up to look at herself in the bathroom mirror stepping back enough to see more. Tree was up at this point too and she watched Taylor rushing from A to B and then look at herself. "Is it too much?", Taylor asked her insecurely. "What? The see-through part?", Tree guessed correctly. The other one nodded. "I think you can definitely wear it. Travis will be sad that he has to stay on the field", Tree winked standing up from her seat. Taylor chuckled a little. "Hey, you're sexy. You can show off", Tree continued her pep-talk. "You have to deal with the press commenting", Taylor reminded her. "And I will do that. Don't think about it, Taylor. Noone should say anything about your body and your outfits. They'll do it anyway but don't let that get to you", the publicist said. "You're right", Taylor agreed and started to pack her bag for the game.
Soon they had to prepare for the landing and Taylor instantly looked at the clock on her phone. They were in time. Not early, but in time. In the car, Taylor texted Travis again. "We're in town. I'll make it. Now concentrate and win that thing! I'm already so proud of you! Love you", she wrote. He saw it immediately. "God, I'm so happy you're here! You're incredible! I'll do my best. Love you so much!", he answered but went offline afterward. She guessed that he had to put the phone away. "I think he's relieved", Taylor told Tree who was still with her in the car, even though she would go to a hotel then and back home the next day. She was supposed to take care of the media during the game. "I'm sure he is. Don't say something stupid when you get on the field later", Tree joked noticing that they were almost there. Taylor chuckled. "I'll do my best. Thank you for everything", she said and hugged her before they stopped at the back entry of the stadium.
Taylor's security checked in with the local security and then brought Taylor in. "Taylor! Hi! It's so good to see you!", Donna immediately came up to her in the booth. "Hey, Donna! I'm so happy that I made it in time", she said hugging her. "Are my parents there yet?", she wanted to know then. "Over there. I think your dad found some people to talk to about football", she smiled pointing over at a small group of people gathered around a table with drinks. "I'll go and say hello then. Did you meet them already?", Taylor asked. "Go on! Your mom and I had a chat earlier, yeah, and your dad introduced himself before some old friend seemed to notice him", Donna explained. Taylor nodded happy about Donna and Andrea getting along. That was what she had expected. And her dad was obviously in heaven here. It wasn't his team in the finals but at least he got to go and see the Super Bowl and talk about sports. Taylor went to say hi to her parents and they were just as happy to see her. Brittany and Jason were also there and greeted her with hugs.
Soon enough, the game was about to start. Taylor found her seat next to Donna and with Andrea on her other side. She was so nervous for Travis and the team that there was not a chance to feel tired. Travis looked up at them pretty much as soon as he could and smiled at Taylor. He was so happy that she was there. She had come straight from a three-hour show halfway around the world for him. He had never felt this supported before. He was able to reflect some of that onto the rest of the team and therefore the energy was great. Of course, it wasn't easy, and behind every play was the pressure of the Super Bowl. Taylor's adrenaline also didn't want to leave her body so she was as awake as she could be.
And then it was done. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl. Again. Taylor disappeared in hugs and celebrating people jumping and high-fiving each other. The whole booth was screaming and it was electrifying. When Donna picked her up to go down, Taylor couldn't wait. She held on to Donna's arm led by security. She spotted her man immediately and Travis also saw her very soon. Coming over, he hugged his mom first but then he threw his arms around his girl. "I'm so happy! Thank you for coming, baby! Thank you for making it halfway across the world for me", he told her. Taylor just leaned against him smiling widely. "I can't believe it", she said not able to find any more words right now. "You came from the other side of the world", he noted again still in disbelief a little bit. "Jet lag is a choice", she laughed hugging him again and again. "Was it electric?", he wanted to know. "It was unbelievable", she told him happily. They kissed and whispered things in each other's ears for a while just high on their happiness until he had to go with the team. Taylor watched him leave not even paying attention to all the people and cameras around her.
