"Okay, don't tell me you cooked that yourself", Travis said after the first bite of their dinner. Taylor smiled at him: "I did." "What can't you do? Like... for real", he mumbled already taking another bite. She laughed blushing. "I guess I'm a pretty good housewife and artist but other than that...", she answered. "Oh, c'mon. You're a businesswoman too", he said looking up. It felt good to have someone say that without needing to convince them of it. "You could be right there", she admitted. "Also... the housewife thing is not really... what I want", she wanted to make clear. He just laughed a bit. That was pretty obvious to him anyway. "No need to tell me that", he just stated. "But for real, this is so delicious. Everything I cook is not half as good", he got back to the food. Taylor just smiled and continued to eat.

"I think you should come to one of my games", Travis said later. They were both a bit tipsy by now. "You know, like I saw you rock the stage in Arrowhead", he added. Taylor laughed at him at first but she quickly got that he really meant that. "I think that might be pretty... complicated. People will put this together with your podcast and think I'm your girlfriend", Taylor said. „But... I mean, never say never. I'd like to see you", she added smiling at him honestly. "I'm sure we can make it work. But sure, doesn't have to be this season", he answered a bit disappointed but understanding. He kinda hoped that she would be his girlfriend someday soon.

A few laughs and conversations later, it was time to go to bed. "I put a bottle of water next to your bed and there are snacks in the mini-bar", Taylor explained taking him to the hallway to get his bag and then to the guest room. She was still a bit unsure if he understood that guest room thing or if he had other plans for tonight after she invited him to stay. "Mini-bar? Really? Did you open a motel?", he laughed. "My friends stay over often", she just shrugged. "Also, the bathroom is in there", she pointed to a small door in the guest room. "Thank you for letting me stay by the way. This is... I mean no hotel could hold up to this and... yeah, thank you", he said blushing a bit. That seemed like he got it and Taylor was relieved. "No problem", she just said before she couldn't hold back a yawn. "Good night", he winked. "Good night", she gave back smiling up at him before leaving him alone.

In her room, Taylor closed the door behind her and hesitated for a moment. Giving in to her paranoia, she locked her door. She wasn't scared of him. It was just like when she covered her phone camera every time she was changing because it technically could be hacked. It wasn't a real fear. Going to bed, she sighed silently. This evening went really well. He was the nicest guy she ever met. At least that's what it felt like. He complimented her, he actively listened to what she was saying, he wasn't scared of sharing his own stories and they had a lot of similar opinions. And she still locked her bedroom door "just in case". Sometimes she really hated her anxiety.

A few thoughts went to his safety too though. He was in her apartment. The apartment multiple people had tried to break into. This address was on the internet and she knew that some stalkers showed up from time to time. Taylor tried to not think about that most of the time but now that another person was here with her she couldn't help it. Under her bed was a bulletproof vest. He didn't even know this danger existed. Maybe she should've told him. But then he wouldn't have stayed, would he? Turning around, Taylor shook off these thoughts and finally fell asleep.

The next morning, Taylor woke up feeling pretty good. She put on some clothes, got her hair under control, and put on light makeup. Normally, she wouldn't do that but Travis was still here, so she wanted to look presentable. Leaving her room, she smelled coffee and something else she couldn't put her finger on. Was he up already? Well, then she was too late to prepare breakfast. "Good morning beautiful lady", he greeted her jokingly while cutting an apple. "I hope it's okay that I started to make some breakfast", he added quickly. "Good morning", Taylor said smiling happily. "It's more than okay. I would've prepared pancakes but it seems like you already have something going", she added. "I'm almost done. I just didn't know how you like your coffee. Or tea?", he explained. "Coffee. With milk but no sugar", she answered already starting to make it. He made a mental note to himself to remember her type of coffee.

Shortly after, they sat down at the table again to eat. "Did you sleep well?", she wanted to know. "Very well. Better than in my own bed almost", he honestly said. "You should think about that", she joked. "Oh, I will. I either have to buy a new mattress or come here more often", he laughed giving her a wink. She blushed taking a sip of her coffee. "I'd like to have you here again but I don't even know when I'll be here myself", she mentioned her schedule. "You can meet me in Kansas too if you want to. It's probably gonna be easier after the season though", he sighed. He already didn't want to leave. "I'd have to... check in with security", she mumbled embarrassed. "Of course! That's no problem. You know what? Let's figure it out when it's time. For now, we have breakfast to eat", he lightened the mood a bit.

Before Travis had to leave, they were able to find another time to meet in New York. They both just wanted to continue talking and laughing. That's probably why they were texting almost every day after this date. If it worked out, they talked on the phone. Taylor told Blake and also her mom everything. Andrea noticed Taylor's looks anyway. The way her eyes lay on her phone screen with that certain smile. She hadn't seen that in a while and she was happy for her. It sounded like Travis was a nice guy but because she could only have Taylor's perspective right now, she tried to be not too excited about it. She wanted to meet the man before forming opinions. But seeing Taylor as happy as she was inevitably made her happy too.

So, I don't know if that's only me, but I tend to overthink and be paranoid always covering my phone camera when changing and locking bathroom doors even if no one is home. Anyone else?😅
