Taylor was originally supposed to get to Kansas right before Travis' New Year game. She had practice and other work things to do pretty much as soon as Christmas with her family was over. She loved this season despite the stress and when her driver pulled up to Travis' house two days earlier than planned, she immediately spotted some Christmas lights at the door and smiled. It was about ten p.m. and she could've just stayed in Nashville one more night but she had missed Travis so much that she had left early. Travis was happy about that of course and he was already waiting for her."Merry Christmas!", he greeted her as soon as she was inside and hugged her tightly. "Merry Christmas, Trav", she answered hugging him back before pulling him down for a kiss. "Oh! Can I see my present?", she suddenly remembered that he had bought her a piano. "Sure. I take that for you", he said pointing at the guitar case she had brought and picking it up carefully. Before she could run ahead, he slid the other arm around her waist pulling her to his side. She giggled just letting him lead her to the living space. Almost like he had prepared it for the picture she had seen, the piano was decorated with a candle and roses. "Awww!", she let out with sparkly eyes. "It's so beautiful!", she added walking up to the piano. Travis watched her happy that she was happy. She sat down just looking at the glistening instrument while he carefully took her guitar out of its case to put it into the stand he had placed next to the piano.
When she opened the keys and started playing a few slow chords, he got goosebumps. It felt so special to have her here and watch her play. He quickly snapped a picture before walking up to her and placing his hands on her shoulders. She stopped and stood up gesturing for him to sit down so she could sit in his lap. Of course, he went with it and just put his arms loosely around her. She continued playing and couldn't fight the big smile on her face. Travis put his head on her shoulder closing his eyes and swaying slightly with her rhythm. He got totally lost in her and she could feel it but it was the same for Taylor. Her head leaned against his, her hands were dancing over the keys on their own and for once she was just in the moment.
"I love you so much", he whispered when whatever melody she had been playing ended. She turned her head to kiss him softly. "I love you too", she then answered. "Can I play you something?", Taylor suddenly felt like it was the right moment. Originally, she wanted him to hear the song on the finished album. "You just did", he answered confused. "No, like... a song... for you", she explained. "I mean... I'll listen. Should I let you sit alone?", he asked a little nervous already. "No! Just... let me get through before you say anything", she answered holding his arm he had wrapped around her. He nodded and sat up a little so she had at least some more space.

These chemicals hit me like white wineHer voice was so low, he already had goosebumps. The first verse almost went past him just because he was so overwhelmed. But the chorus snapped him back to reality.
So when I touch down
Call the amateurs and
Cut 'em from the team
Ditch the clowns, get the crown
Baby I'm the one to beat
Cause the sign in your heart
Said it's still reserved for me
Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy? One football reference after another. He couldn't believe how sweetly she sang all that. And yes, there was no chance that they could fight this. The second chorus made him tear up a little while he was trying so hard not to disturb her. He wanted to press her against his chest and never let go. How should he ever give that back?
He jokes that it's heroin but this time with an "E"
She made him giggle a little. Yes, he had said that at some point. But sooner than he could prepare himself for it, the bridge of the song came around.
Where's the trophy?
He just comes running over to meA few silent tears finally left his eyes and he quickly brushed them out of his face. Taylor noticed and smiled even wider. Her smile was audible. She was so incredibly happy at that moment, she almost couldn't believe it herself.

These chemicals hit me like white wineTaylor let the last note fade out and leaned against him. Travis now let himself go and wrapped his arms around her tightly. "I love you so much! I love you, I love you, I love you!", he repeated kissing her cheek in between still with teary eyes. Taylor giggled happily and closed her eyes for a moment. "I never want to let go of you ever again", he whispered. "I'd take you everywhere with me", she said back turning around in his lap complicatedly. He brushed her hair out of her face caressing her cheeks and getting lost in her eyes. "Kiss me?", she asked sweetly making him chuckle. "Always", he answered before fulfilling her wish.
"Wait, did you put that on the album?", Travis remembered that this was her job. Taylor nodded a little insecure. He wouldn't hold her back from it, would he? But his smile just grew wider and he kissed her again. "If I could find words like that, I'd scream it into the world too", he whispered against her lips. "I believe you", she mumbled happy to hear that. No man she had ever dated had been so open about his feelings for her around other people let alone the public. "God, I wanna hear the whole album but also I could just listen to you singing this song another million times", he said hugging her again. He just could not let go of her. But Taylor loved it just as much and held onto him just as tightly. She was so close to telling him about "So High School" but he should have at least one happy surprise on the album.
