"Good morning, Allie", Travis mumbled into Taylor's hair when he felt like she was waking up. She smiled and scrunched her nose in the cutest way. "You won the Super Bowl", she whispered turning to him. "Yeah", he chuckled stroking her back and making her sigh in relaxation. "Thank you for bringing me to bed", she smiled blushing a little. "I wasn't sure if you'd even remember it", he admitted kissing her head. "I think I was more tired than drunk", she shrugged. "You must've been up for so long", he said before it was silent again. "Thank you for coming, baby. I... I was so happy already and then you came down to the field again... I think I've never been that happy", he finally found the words for what he wanted to tell her. She smiled and felt her cheeks getting hot again. How could he make her feel so special and so loved with so few words? Why had noone ever done that before? "I love you", she just answered looking up at him before kissing him softly. He pulled her on top of himself completely and wrapped both arms around her."I love you too. You're the best, Tay, the absolute best", he didn't stop making her feel so happy. She giggled not sure how to handle her own giddiness and hid her face in his chest. "Stop", she mumbled making him chuckle again. "I won't ever stop to tell you that until you understand how fucking great you are", he continued knowing exactly what he was doing there. But he meant it. He didn't want her to ever doubt herself again. Whatever any idiot had told her in her past, to him, she was worth the world and he wanted to give her as much of that as he could. He had never felt like that himself and it made him just as happy. "Trav, you're... you're the best for me too. I... I don't know what I would do if... if you'd ever not be there anymore", she stuttered. He meant so much to her after not even a year. It scared her. "I'll do everything that's in my control to never make you find out", he whispered sensing her anxiety and holding her tight.
"I don't wanna lose you either", he told her honestly, and she realized that noone had ever said that. People had assured her that they'd never leave and a lot of them had ended up hurting her. But noone had ever admitted being scared of losing her too. "Hey, no need to cry, Allie", he noticed her tearing up. It confused him a bit but it didn't matter what made her this emotional. He just hugged her and kissed her head again. "I love you, I love you so much", she told him once more. "I love you too, baby", he gave back. "Noone... noone was ever scared of losing me", she explained because she knew that this reaction was a little over the top. "Oh, Tay", he mumbled not letting go. "Don't you think, it's just that noone told you? You know? Because men don't talk about feelings", he mocked a voice of noone specific. She shrugged. There were some people she could think of who might just never have said it but she honestly could come up with just as many names of people who would have needed to lie to tell her that they didn't want to lose her. "It's just special to hear it", she didn't want to think about others any longer. "And I'll tell you that another million times if you need me too", he assured her.
Taylor and Travis continued to cuddle in bed and talk about their feelings and a hundred other things. They were both still tired from the long day before but they felt happy and didn't pay attention to anything or anyone else. They had food in between but decided to stay alone for as long as possible today. She'd leave for Australia soon enough. "I wish I could come to Melbourne with you from day one", he sighed still holding her close. "You're supposed to celebrate in Kansas. I'll watch from down under", she told him even though she already missed him too. "I thought of Valentine's Day yesterday", he told her making Taylor look up almost horrified, she had completely forgotten about that. "Hey, don't worry, me too", he chuckled making her blush. "I thought we could pick something for both of us and get us a gift together", he suggested. Taylor smiled and nodded excitedly. "That's so cute", she told him happily making him laugh a little. Her excitement was so contagious. "Well then. Do you wanna start looking? Shipping can take a while", he mentioned and so they decided to look through some stuff on her MacBook.
