Trigger Warning: Eating Disorder
It's written in a way you could just skip the chapter and won't miss much of the storyline.

The next morning, Taylor woke up alone in Travis' bed. When she realized that he must be up already, she sighed. Turning around a few times, Taylor didn't get comfortable again and decided to get up too. She went to the bathroom and while sitting on the toilet, she spotted a bathroom scale. It's been a while since she had used one because she banned them from her houses when she fell back into her eating disorder a few years ago. But it couldn't be wrong to know her weight could it? She was just curious, there was nothing to that. So Taylor took a step onto the scale a moment later. She looked down at the numbers and immediately regretted it. She had seen these exact numbers before and it was a while ago. A shaky breath left her lips. No, no this couldn't be happening. Why did she do this?

Taylor tried to fight the mean voice in her head but it got louder and louder the longer she looked down. "Look at you! You let yourself go! You're fat! You're ugly! How couldn't you see that?!", this and similar screaming thoughts haunted her until she stumbled backward. That it was currently more muscle than anything on her body didn't even come to her mind. Another few moments passed until she realized that she was now staring at the mirror still hearing all these assaulting words in her mind. Taylor finally forced herself to leave the bathroom and go to the kitchen. But the words weren't easy to leave behind. She saw Travis placing two plates on the perfectly set table and her stomach instantly felt like it was turning around. "Good morning beautiful", he smiled at her. She smiled back at him but her mind couldn't be silent for a minute: "He doesn't mean it! You're not beautiful! He's lying!"

They sat down at the table and Taylor really tried to just think of something else and start to eat but she couldn't. Her body physically wouldn't move. "Are you okay?", Travis asked a little confused. "Yeah, just not hungry", she quickly said. That was what her head told her after giving her a flashback of the numbers the scale had shown earlier. No, she wasn't hungry. She wouldn't be eating anything. "Okay", he mumbled still feeling like something was off. But he ate his breakfast sitting in silence with her. It wasn't the relaxed silence that was around them normally.

Taylor helped him clean up and then went to the bathroom again. This time to prepare for the day and get into some baggy, comfortable clothes. Again, she stopped at the mirror not able to ignore the screams in her mind about how fat she was. It hurt. She hadn't heard it like that in years. Travis followed her after a few minutes leaning against the doorframe watching her. She hadn't noticed him yet still looking at her undressed body. But he saw her face and how she was judging herself right now. He could almost hear her thoughts. Travis immediately remembered that she had told him about the eating disorder she had had before. Was that what was going on? But why? In his eyes, she had absolutely no reason to think badly of herself.

Travis decided to walk up to her. She almost jumped when his arms slid around her waist. He kissed her head looking at her through the mirror. "What's wrong baby?", he asked silently. Taylor broke eye contact not knowing what to say. Her eyes went to the bathroom scale again and as he followed her look, he recognized it too. "Did you check your weight before breakfast?", he assumed carefully. Taylor just sighed leaning against his chest and closing her eyes. "Oh, Tay. Please believe me when I say you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You're the most beautiful person in the world to me. I love you. I love you with each and every single inch of your body. Also, you're currently able to do a three-hour workout every day. Your body is in perfect form", he told her. "And even if it wasn't, I would still love you. It doesn't matter what number this screen showed or what you see in this mirror right now. You're gorgeous for who you are", he continued while gently pressing her against his chest.
