Two days after her birthday, Taylor flew back to New York. She had a busy week ahead because they wanted to get enough done to have a calm Christmas. Travis was there already. He had arrived a few hours before her and her security had let him in. So when Taylor came home, she found him sleeping on the couch with Meredith in his lap also sleeping. The other cats came to see who was there but didn't seem to care much about her homecoming. Taylor quickly took a photo of Travis before bringing her stuff to the bedroom and changing into some cozy clothes. She wanted to let him sleep but she was too excited to meet him again, so she kissed him awake. "Mhh... did I fall asleep?", he mumbled. "Yeah. Maybe Meredith wouldn't let you go", Taylor mentioned the cat that now woke up too from his movements and quickly ran away. "Well, now she made some room for you", he smiled pulling Taylor down so she would lay on top of him. She giggled snuggling her head into the crook of his neck and relaxing into his arms.

"Survived the hangover?", Travis asked silently. "Urgh, yeah. I should really have at least one person around who stops me when I'm too drunk", she mumbled. "You're someone who can't eat a little bit of chocolate or half of the chips bag aren't you?", he asked despite knowing the answer. She nodded feeling embarrassed because he was so spot on. "As long as you don't do that every week...", he just said kissing her head. "It works with wine or something for dinner but at a party, no chance. I'm either sober or too drunk to walk straight if noone stops me or gives me water in between", she explained. "If you want me to, I could call you after a few hours and maybe have you get some water", he suggested for her next party. "I feel like a teenager who doesn't know their limit. It's really embarrassing at this point", she admitted. "You're talking to Mister dancing on tables, just so you know. I can get drunk too and it escalated before", he tried to make her feel better. "But you learned from that. At least you were always walking straight when we left a party together", she said.

"Because I give myself the task to have an eye on you. And not because I think you need it. That's just how I find a reason to stop after a certain amount of alcohol. I remember that I'm not alone and I should watch out for my friends", he told her his strategy. "Maybe I should try that... But most of the time, Tree is around. Or you are", she mumbled. "I like that you told me by the way. It's something you know about and you want to change it, so I won't give you shit for it", he said. "Maybe you should, so I feel bad and do something about it", she thought out loud. "I don't think that's the way but if you want me to...", he let his sentence open. "What do I know?", Taylor sighed cuddling more into his body if that was even possible. "It's almost seven by the way. Do you wanna cook with me or should we order something? I could try to get some pasta going and we just go with the pesto you seem to always have", Travis finally changed the topic. "Pasta sounds good. But not yet", she answered not wanting to let him go. He understood and began to stroke her back up and down. Taylor sighed enjoying it with closed eyes.

"Tay, we really have to eat something", Travis said after a while. "Mhh...", she just let out still not moving. "Okay, baby, wanna come with me or should I wrap you up in a blanket?", he asked. "Both", she mumbled making him chuckle. "Whatever you want", he decided. Then he sat up bringing her into a sitting position with him before taking a blanket to put around her shoulders. Taylor tiredly hung around his neck smiling about his gentleness. Even though he told her, Taylor was surprised when he picked her up and carried her over to the kitchen koala style. "Now you need to let me go because I can't put you on the stove while cooking pasta", he said kissing her to silence her complaints. She let him go pulling the blanket around herself.

After dinner, they quickly cuddled up in bed. "What are your plans for Christmas?", Travis asked. "Family from 24th till at least 27th, sorry", she told him. "Why sorry? I expected nothing else. Just wanted to know about your Christmas. Like... what do you do? Do you watch movies? Sing some Christmas songs maybe?", he wanted to know making her smile. "We cook a lot and I force my family to watch some fairytale movie. When everyone's there, I sometimes play guitar for some songs too", she explained. "What about you?", she asked. "I'm responsible for the tree, Jason won't stop cuddling Kylie as soon the girls are distracted with me or Mom, Mom is cooking and Dad comes around the 26th for coffee", he explained. "So... you'd be free new year?", she questioned.

"I literally wanted to ask you the same thing", he chuckled. "What were your plans? Cause I haven't planned anything yet", she said. "I have a game on the last day of this year and we're planning to do a New Year party afterward. In case we lose we just get drunk", Travis explained. Taylor laughed. "Why didn't I remember? We must've talked about it before", she said. "Maybe. Anyway, do you wanna come? I want to have you with me on New Year", he asked her shifting to look at her. She smiled at him getting lost in his eyes. "I'd love to come. I'll talk to everyone tomorrow okay?", she asked. Travis nodded and kissed her smiling against her lips. "I love you", he whispered. "I love you too", she gave back kissing him again.
