The tips of my shoes tap the floor under me as I anxiously wait on Drew.

Finally! I see as his truck pulls in and I get off the couch. Opening the door before he can even ring the doorbell.

"Hi." I smile and Drew matches it.

"Hi. Are you ready?"

"Yes. Just need to grab this." I go to pick up a large bag I've made up but Drew stops me.

"I will do the heavy lifting."

"It isn't heavy though." I smile.

He lifts it then looks at me. "This isn't light either. Do you have this thing stuffed with bricks?"

"Nope. Now, kind sir to my car." I smile and we walk out my door as I lock it up.

We walk down the steps and I open the trunk as he places the bag inside it. Drew steps closer to me, his body heat seeps into me and I smile smelling the scent of his cologne. He kisses the side of my mouth again and it makes my stomach want to wiggle around like it has before.

"Where are we going first?" Drew asks as I get in the car and start it up.

"Food first, if that is okay?"

"Always good." He nods. "You never need to ask it like that."

I smile and pull out of the driveway. First stop, is a small diner where they have so many different options for food. We sit down and order drinks.

"How has your week been?" Drew asks.

"Good, been the same routine for a couple weeks now and enjoying it. Yours?"

"Busy." He smiles and I can tell he has dark circles under his eyes.

"We could've waited for this if you were tired."

Drew shakes his head. "Never, I don't want to miss any time with you."

"Your rest is important."

He shrugs. "To me you are more important." He mumbles as our drinks are placed on the table in front of us.

We order our main food then I whisper to the waiter that I get the check.

"What was that about?" Drew raises an eyebrow.

"What was what?" I smile.

"The whispering."

"That is for me to know and you to find out after."

"Okay then what are we doing after this?"

I sigh and lean back in the booth. "I'm not sure if we should do it or not now. Seeing and knowing you're tired I don't want to make it even more."

Drew waves his hand. "We will do all you have thought of." He smiles.

I let out a breath and nod. Our food arrives pretty fast since we got burgers with toppings we wanted, then a side of loaded fries. Together we eat and talk through various topics on likes and dislikes from weather to sports to hobbies.
