As we pull back to my house, I see the light on Jackson's porch turn on as he steps out in sleeping pants and shirt.

Drew gets out of the truck as Jackson comes over.

"What happened?" Jackson stares at me once Drew opens my door, as my energy levels are drained.

Drew tells him what happened, as he carries me while Jackson takes the keys to unlock the door. Drew won't let me walk at all, but I'm secretly enjoying it as his touch calms me like no other can.

With me on the couch, Drew was told where the sheets were placed. Jackson brings a bottle of water to me while Drew is in my room.

"I'm going to go look at the shower door." Jackson sighs before he looks at me while I nod. "Do you need anything?"

"No, I'm okay."

I watch as he disappears into the master bathroom. My eyes see Drew as he works then he goes into the bathroom once he ran outside to come back in with a tool box.

My fingers play with the lid of the water, until my stomach rumbles slightly. Sighing lightly, I stand from the couch and slowly make way to the kitchen. I know just what I am after too.

"Adina?" I hear Drew and Jackson call out together.

"What are you doing?" Drew's voice makes me turn around to see his eyes widen when he sees me trying to reach up on the top shelf with my uninjured arm. "You should've called for one of us."

Whoops. Busted.

"I'm hungry." I frown as he picks me up and sits me on a stool in front of the counter.

My eyes follow him as he rests his hands on the counter top and looks at me. "I'll get anything you want."

"I was just going for some cereal. Quick, easy." I shrug then wince at the movement when it pulls at the stitches some.

"But that's not what you want is it?" He asks softly.

"Not really."

Drew smiles. "What do you want? I can cook and not to bad at it."

"If he can't I can." Jackson chuckles.

"I really want french toast."

"You got it." Drew turns and then turns back to me with a sheepish smile. "Could you point where the pans, utensils, and food are?"

Face palm moment, I should've thought of that. Within maybe three minutes time Drew is putting the bread in the skillet as Jackson is working another with bacon.

In less than twenty minutes, a plate is slid in front of me with my toast, bacon, fresh fruits. Before I even ask Jackson places the syrup down in front of me while Drew fills a glass with milk.

Beyond grateful as my stomach is no longer trying to naw at itself. Helpful that the syrup knocks down the craving too.

"As for your shower the framing needs to be replaced. We took off the section close to the wall that was sharp and cut you. With it being on the opposite side from the shower head, you can still shower easily."

"Actually, with her stitches she will need to have them covered to shower for first little bit." Drew cut in.

"Didn't know that." Jackson nods then looks back at me. "I can get the framing for it today, maybe, but we aren't sure what the shop in town may have. If need be I can drive out to the city to a huge store with the items needed to fix that."

"Can't we just call someone to fix it?" I question.

"This type of job we don't have anyone in town able to do so and to have someone from the city come out would be quite a bit since it is a couple hours drive to the closest city." Drew frowns.

"It is a simple job though and nothing like fixing the roof." Jackson smiles and I huff at him. "Hey self taught, you can learn a lot on videos."

"I can agree there." Drew laughs.

I shake my head at them. Figure this will go one of two ways, either really well or disaster where we still get a company to come out and do it.

The food is finished and Jackson starts filling the dishwasher along with Drew. Neither of them are letting me up. My bladder, however, tells me I can no longer sit on this stool, so I move to get up and Drew looks up to me quick. "What do you need?"

"Uh, bathroom. I have to get up this time because it isn't something you can do for me." I smile and giggle lightly at my own little sass.

My steps are a little slow and I feel drained. Just relieving my bladder and washing my hands, makes it feel like I ran some marathon. Each step is slow as I make way back to the living room instead of the kitchen.

"I have to work now but I will come over later to make sure you are doing okay?" Jackson hugs me on the side not hurt.

"Actually I am off today, so I can stay around and make sure she is okay. As long as you want me to stay?" Drew looks at me with questioning eyes.

"I'm great with you staying." I nod.

Jackson smiles wide and then walks out the front door. I hadn't realized that the sun has came up some in the sky, but the sky is cloudy as I look out the windows.

Drew sits on the couch with me and I lean over to get the remote. Flicking the television on, there is a random show on about mysteries I have been watching that we keep on since Drew shrugs when I ask if this was okay with him.

All to soon my eyes burn and I feel as my head bobbles a little. Drew chuckles and touches my arm, it is like his body is a magnet calling me while promising warmth and comfort. As my ankle throbs and my shoulder burns, I laying on my left side while my head rests on Drew's lap. He spreads the blanket out over me which I find sexy he could do gently. His fingers brush through my hair and my eyes close on their own.

Darkness takes me in just as the television plays in the background. Sleep seems even easier than it has been in a long time, I thought I was sleeping fine, but this with Drew I feel completely at peace.
