Kai and Adeline sat in the garage like the usual. Adeline sipping the water bottle he gave her as he had his own and he sat across from her. Once he got her car in there he stalled for a minute. He thought about everything his coworkers have been hounding him on and decided that maybe he should pay more attention to her behavior. So as they drank their water that's exactly what he did. Just watched her and pondered in his head what the hell was going on in hers.
He wouldn't be offended honestly. Because who would be upset if a supermodel found you hot? That's a pretty good compliment if you asked Kai. But still he had many other reservations about it. And the mere fact that it's Adeline... that threw him off bad. They didn't exactly have the best first impressions and even now he could tell she was still a spoiled brat with some bad manners. But after a while of talking to her he couldn't deny that she was pretty funny. She just was so out of touch with normal society she was like a foreigner.
"It's pretty late I almost thought you weren't gonna show." He admitted getting up and stretching before heading towards her car. "When have I missed an appointment ever aside from yesterday?" She raised a brow. Kai shrugged. "First time for everything."
"You have such low expectations of me still." She feigned hurt. Kai chuckled. "What can I say? I have trust issues." That made a small smile dance on her lips. She cleared her throat. "Don't we all?"
"Touché Adeline touché."
Adeline watched him work on removing her old wipers . But she was not aware this time Kai was being more attentive to her staring. "So Adeline. You never told me about if you saw your date again." He called out to her. Adeline jolted a bit.
"Oh no. I haven't. But I will probably have to eventually." She admitted grimly. Kai paused and looked at her. "You have to see him again? For what?"
Adeline shrugged. "Appearances, events, we run in the same circles."
"Everyday you prove to me I could never be a celebrity." He laughed that sounded miserable. "You would probably cause a riot in the world of fame." She noted.
"How so?" He leaned against her car wiping his hands. Adeline's eyes scanned him up and down before she looked away. "Well you tend to have no filter-"
Kai laughed loudly bending forward slapping his knee for dramatics. Adeline narrowed her eyes at him already knowing what he was going to say. He was clearly astounded with this statement and Adeline was getting ready to defend herself.
"YOU Addy. YOU are telling me I don't have a filter?" He wiped his watering eyes from laughter. "Ha ha ha." She blandly spoke to him. Kai continued to chuckle to himself. He really thought he was just so hilarious. And against Adeline's will she also found him funny. And likable. But she would not say it out loud.
