"Adeline you missed your first meeting-"

"Ms Jones. This is Julianna with Louis-"
"Adeline Carter...I can't believe you are doing this right now? After all we built-"
Adeline just tapped through all the voicemails deleting them. She didn't owe her any explanation. She didn't owe anyone an explanation.
Deleting their messages and staying low on the radar has been equally therapeutic as it's been stressful.
She was just about ready to call it quits but it was hard. Deciding when she's reached her limit was hard. Everything was hard especially not having Kai to talk to. He always was honest with her and gave her good advice even when she wasn't being receptive at the time.
It was hard not to think about him.
Two weeks have passed since Adeline has written that first letter. She sent the second one earlier in the say today. She was sure absolutely sure he threw them away. She felt rather juvenile writing it and he probably thought the same thing and didn't bother with the silly thing.
She didn't blame him. A letter from her is probably the last thing he wanted. She felt so bad for even disrupting his peace. Otsi kept encouraging it though as if it was actually making a difference. Adeline didn't feel too good about it but she supposed she should listen to his aunt because she knew him best. It gave her slight pleasure that his aunt still was rooting for them to be together. Especially when she didn't deserve her nephew. But she was working on it.
Almost 4 weeks ago Adeline, through the assistance of Otsi and Marbelly, found somewhere to get the help she needed. And because she's a well known celebrity she found someone very discrete who did in-house appointments.
The first few appointments were hard because Adeline was a touch cookie to crack emotionally. But Dr. Shyla was patient and knew all the right things to say. So gradually Adeline felt herself opening up a little more. Still quite reserved but she was a lot better than before.
She was expecting her any minute now. But she took the time to erase the voicemails that took up space. Just in case she got one...from Kai. She severely doubted it but still.
Adeline spent her days with Dantia when she could. It was a great pick me up. She has learned a lot about the pregnancy journey through her. It was...interesting to say the least. The poor girl was throwing up everywhere. Adeline tried her best to be up beat and supportive for her, but she had to admit watching Dantia throw up was not something she enjoyed.
She shook her head and laughed thinking about the girl. They had dinner plans this week. She was glad Dantia forgave her for isolating from her. It definitely made a world of difference for Adeline to have her in her corner.
Adeline up got up and poured herself a glass of wine. She needed to relax a little she's been tense the past couple of days. Probably because of all the ignoring and hiding she's done toward her mother and Darian.
She stood at the counter swirling her glass for a minute pondering her future. Was Otsi right? Was there another company she could work for and still be just as successful? Would it even matter? What about the press when she drops the engagement?
