Adeline woke up feeling warm and buzzing on the inside. She blinked taking in the dark room. She glanced at the clock seeing it read 6 in the morning. She woke up earlier than desired after such a tiresome evening.

Adeline didn't want to get up for the day in fact she had no plans so she didn't have to. She hadn't expected to have an over night. Kai really shocked her with that one. But it was the perfect time to do it. No one knew where she was and no one needed her.

She couldn't say she wasn't happy Kai invited her over. She had the most wonderful night with him and was still in disbelief that it happened.

She felt familiar arms around her holding her so close as if he was afraid she would be gone in the morning. Adeline almost cried with how ecstatic she was with the previous night. She didn't deserve to wake up like this.

She couldn't believe he really saw it in himself to forgive her. She was so ruthless and hateful that day. She felt the tears prickle her eyes at the memory of how horrible she really treated him how sad he looked. He really looked at her like she ripped his heart out and jumped on that day months ago.

And now he just put it all in the past? The Kai she knew was a lot more cautious. But now he just moved on? She didn't deserve this happy ending. She didn't deserve him at all. Was he tipsy at the shop when they slept together? He likes beer so it's not impossible to think such.

How did last night even happen? It was like he just completely gave in with no other stipulations. It couldn't be that simple. It just couldn't. Her worry and insecurities were rearing their ugly way forward. How did Kai still love her so carelessly after what she did? Kai held his grudges for a while. It couldn't just be that simple.

But all those thoughts went in the back of her mind for a second when Kai wrapped his arms tighter around her and he kissed her jaw. "You're awake. And you're thinking really hard it's waking me up." He mumbled sleepily.

Adeline tried to mask her sniffle but it didn't work that well. "Morning." She tried to sound up beat. Kai sat up confused turning her over. She plastered a smile on her face but Kai could tell it wasn't genuine. "Addy? What's wrong, are you hurt?" Adeline shook her head. "No I'm fine."

Kai just continued to stare at her. She knew it wasn't going to cut it with him. She tried to smile again but it looked a lot weaker. Kai's face softened and Adeline covered her face as the silent tears fell. "Really I'm fine. I'm just sorry... I am still so so sorry." She wiped her eyes.

"Addy don't cry, I forgave you baby. You don't have to cry." He wiped her tears as they kept coming. "I don't know this just feels too good to be true." She managed to croak out. Kai shook his head. "Some things really are just that simple Addy. I forgive you that's it. Nothing else. I wouldn't have slept with you if I didn't plan on moving past the past. I'm not playing mind games with you." He assured her. And deep in her mind she knew he wasn't lying.

Kai would've had her waiting another 5 months before he had sex with her if he didn't believe how sorry she was. If he didn't want a future with her he wouldn't have done such a thing.

However, he did want a future with her he's said it. He confirmed this with her last night.

But she was still so ashamed of herself. She loved Kai so much and she wanted him to feel and understand how much she loved him. She had tried so hard last night and the following months. And even when she woke up in his bed, she still felt she had more to prove.

"So you really want to be with me? Start over with me?" She asked with wide nervous eyes. Kai sighed she was so adorable. He wanted to grab her shoulders and kiss her til she really understood how important she was to him. "Yes I want to be with you and start over with you." He reiterated cupping her cheeks.
