Kai didn't hear anything from Adeline last night which was a little unexpected. He had been waiting for her call because they both had no plans. But he assumed she had something come up. Hell he needed the rest so he wasn't too bothered. He knew if he went to her place they would both be tired in the morning.

Waking up today was a little strange because she usually called him if they couldn't see each other the night before. But again Kai could rationalize it to something she had to do and just forgot.

He would see her today because he knew she would be home all day resting before her premier. Then they could talk about the powwow and if they wanted to share a hotel room or something. Kai already booked it. It was a little on the pricier side but he knew she liked the finer things.

Kai parked his car in the back and whistled to himself as he went into the shop through the back. He could hear the hum of the TV in the distance and he knew both Reg and John were here.

"Hey guys I'm in. I picked up some coffee and donuts for you." He dropped it off the break room.

Kai paused for a moment wondering why the hell the losers weren't talking. They always watched BS TV before work got started but they usually gave him at least a shout back.

Kai out all his stuff in his office before heading to the front. Once he opened the door he saw Reggie and John standing in front of the TV.

"Guys what the hell are you doing?" He laughed. He expected their usual carefree joking demeanor but all he got was a fast turn around from both men along with a look of panic.

John cursed under his breath in a hunt for the remote. "Hey Kai! I actually wanted to talk to you about something." Reggie interrupted. "What are you watching? Porn?" Kai teased them. The panic made him suspicious.

"Nothing." Reggie stepped in front of him. "It's celebrity news? Nice. Have they said anything about her movie. She's worked so hard." Kai tried to step aside him.

"Yes. Everyone is looking forward to it." Reggie put his hand on Kai's chest. "What's your problem? Didn't know I had been banned from the television." Kai scrunched his face up..

"Kai trust me." Reggie looked serious. This just made Kai push past him. The commercial was finally over.

"Welcome back everyone! As promised we have more news about America's most promising model Adeline Carter Jones and her engagement to the most eligible bachelor Darrien Beckett. The two were spotted leaving a museum in Plattsburgh and Darrien was hiding her left hand. But we received work yesterday evening that the rumors are true. With her upcoming film, she is now engaged and the first model to be a representative for Louis Vuitton!"

"Kai. Wait." Reggie reached for him but Kai shrugged him off looking at the screen. He couldn't hear anything else anymore. Engaged? She's engaged? This must be a misunderstanding it had to be a misunderstanding. He and Adeline spent the night together that morning.

She would've told him she was going to get engaged. Why hasn't she called him to clear things up? She is going to clear things up right?

Kai stared at the TV for a solid minute before John finally found the remote and turned it off. "Kai it is probably a misunderstanding." John emphasized. Still Kai had yet to say a word. He was nearly sending the TV up in flames with his eyes.

He looked so angry but also so hurt and confused. "I'm clocking out." Was all he said before grabbing his keys and his wallet. "Kai maybe you should stay and cool down first." Reggie got his arm. "Reg I need to go." He pulled away.
