Epilogue: Adeline Carter Jones-Green

Sorry for such a long delay. School is kicking my butt 😂 but here we go I will eventually get around for a bonus just like my other stories.

Adeline laid awake comfortably in her bed tucked in her husbands arms. It was 9 am, they had slept in a little but Adeline could not let it go any further than it has. They had a lot to do today.

She turned around to look at Kai and smiled brushing his loose hairs from his face. His chest rising and falling to a smooth rhythm. His eyes closed and his heart beat was steady. He almost truly looked like he was sleeping.

But he was faking it and she knew it very well because Kai snuggled tight when he was sleeping and his face had to be shoved in her neck. Also his mouth was slightly jar and occasionally he snored. So her sweet husband could not fool her today. "Good morning my love."

Kai ignored her but she could see a smile fighting its way on his face because he knew she called bullshit. She was too good at it now.

"Pretty convincing this time but I know when you're really sleeping." She poked his lips. "It's time to get up." Adeline tried to get up but Kai's arms tightened around her. "Kai!" She laughed at his ridiculousness.

She tried again to push free but he held on to her using one of his legs to keep her down. Adeline giggled trying to free herself making Kai's chest rumble with laughter as they fought in the bed. Adeline wasn't a match for him after many attempts and over exhausted herself.

"You have to let me get out of this bed Mr. Green." Adeline complained slinking back. Kai held on to her waist rolling over so he could lay on top of her and pretending to go back to sleep. "Shh I'm sleeping." He insisted. "Ugh Kai you're heavy and we have to get ready." She protested. Kai grinned slowly opening his eyes.

"I'm sorry Mrs Green. You're not getting up if I'm not. We are just gonna spend the day in. Quality time you know?" He mumbled against her. Adeline pushed at him. "No we have plans and I have to pee." She whined but he didn't budge. "I seriously will pee if you don't let me go." Her tone serious. They had a stare down for a moment but Adeline knew he would fold. And she was right.

Kai reluctantly moved off of her. Adeline took the moment to quickly slide off the bed and stretch her body. She stood over her and kissed him. "I'm going to shower." She admitted before hustling to the bathroom leaving Kai to groan.

She stripped her clothes and got in excited about their day out. Kai's wasn't all that excited but that's just because he's a nervous Nelly. Adeline refused to let him scurry into the shadows.

She continued on scrubbing when the shower door opened and her heavy footed husband stepped in beside her. "Welcome." She smiled. Kai rolled his eyes and reached for his shampoo and conditioner. The ones Adeline bought him. She refused the use of 2 in 1. She actually instructed the staff to throw it away if they saw it.

Kai whined about it for a while until he used her shampoo and conditioner and realized what he had been missing out on. His hair had never been so soft before.

"Don't be mean to me." She chastised him. "I'm not. You're the one who denied me affection." He pointed out.

"Because you're using me to avoid your life problems." She countered back. Kai couldn't argue there he was hoping he could keep her inside and they could just be inside together and have a good day.

"I'm not avoiding." He lied rubbing her shoulders.

"Oh and now you're lying too." Adeline lifted a brow and turned off her shower head. Leaving Kai to actually use his for once. He was always using which ever one Adeline was in because the two could hardly separate. "Enjoy your shower alone. I'll see you down stairs." Adeline huffed and excitedly exited.
