Adeline had left for Italy leaving Kai all by himself for the next week and a half. Talking on the phone wasn't really an occurrence because of the overseas charges he would get.

The first couple of days of her being gone went fine. He didn't really busy himself with thinking about the fact that she was so far. But come day 5 it really started to bother him. If he saw something or had an experience he would think to call her but remembered he couldn't exactly call her at the moment.

She left some of her clothes at his place too so when he saw him he would start missing her. Even his dog Jane was taking a nap on Adeline's shirt she left. She was growing in everyone in his little house hold.

He felt so much closer to her after talking about his mother. She handled it very well and she shared everything about her mother finally. She made it easy for him to talk about it. Who knew he'd find his person in the most unsuspecting individual. Someone who made the absolute worst impression became the person he looked forward to seeing at the end of the day. It was pretty crazy.

She had sent him and Otsi a post card talking about Italy and how beautiful it was. She told Kai she hoped one day they could go together. Kai stuck her post card on his fridge and smiled to himself getting ready for work.

By the time he got there they already had someone there. Kai clocked in rather quickly greeting John in passing. "Leakage. Maybe AC maybe Oil. Reggie is working on the other cars engine." John informed him.

Kai immediately got to work leaving John to deal with the people up front.

__________
John had been on the phone for a good hour with different people making appointments. They have grown business wise and would probably have to renovate the shop for more space and get more employees.

John cleared out the front and finally found time and space to take a breather but yet again the door chimed.

"Excuse me? I'd like to meet with your best mechanic." A woman's cool collected voice came through interrupting the computer attention. John eyes widened looking at the beautiful woman who was closer to his age. She was dark skinned without a blemish, wearing a cream sundress and cream pumps. Her Gabbana sunglasses still on even in the building. Her hair slicked back into a perfect bun and not a strand out of place.

Despite her obvious beauty there was something about her that rubbed him the wrong way. And John was always friendly but even he felt something was off with this woman. No good vibes at all especially if John didn't like you.

"My best?" He asked carefully. "That's what I said is it not?" She said in an obvious tone. John pondered for a minute. This uninviting attitude was very familiar but less endearing than he remembered.

He looked at her for just one more second. "Do you have an appointment." He asked less friendly than John was used to being. Kai was his friend and he was going to look after him. John let Adeline loose at him because he knew they would go tit for tat and she would give Kai something to busy himself with.

And that turned out to be Kai's best relationship thus far.

But John did not want to unleash this woman on him. She just seemed vile and horrible.

"No but I have questions. And expect answers so please do find it in you to go find your mechanic right now." She said less friendly. More base and stern toned in her voice.

John pursed his lips. "Of course."

John walked to the back were Kai was underneath the car he was working on and the rock music was blasting. Kai was definitely missing Adeline because he had been back to being at the shop all the time or his aunts because he didn't want to be by himself.
