I hope you all had a great new year! I will be starting school again so I will probably start updating at 600 reads to give myself some time lol!

Adeline was a busy woman but even busy women had time to fantasize. And surely she fantasized. Since she's been in manhattan the only person on her mind really was the pouty mechanic who was playing hard to get. It was comical to Adeline truly. He had so much stubbornness that would be difficult to work with because she too was stubborn. Not getting what she wanted was something difficult for the woman.

The movie was actually coming along very nice. She has been working ultra hard to get everything she needed in line. Things were going well Bradley hardly had tried any more attempts at getting her to spend time with him. She thought it was hilarious that NOW he thinks she's this irresistible woman he wants to spend time with when all he did before was whine and complain. Adeline was not as annoyed because her mind again was else where, no matter what she was doing. No matter what the scene asked of her she was only waiting in anticipation for what came next when she got home.

"Cut! Good job get suited up for the next scene!" Adeline pushed away from Bradley and head to her tent. Her mother has been rather quiet over the past week and a half but every not and then Darian would somehow make his way into their conversation. It was a tad exhausting and Adeline had to admit she was sick of hearing about the man. However she knew her mother was probably right. Clearly she was having a phase of denial for Darian's affections and her mothers hard work. A rebellion she supposed. But still hearing about Darian did nothing compared to being teased by Kai.

She approached her tent finally hoping to get some peace and quiet but was surprised to be greeted with a familiar face waiting at her chair. "You? I know you." Adeline pointed at the short girl with dark skin and buzzed hair. Her sweet face lit up and she waved. "Yes Dantia! I am here. Marcov is actually going to be helping around a bit and I was invited to tag along." Dantia waved at the taller woman.

"Ahh I almost forgot he is married to one of the directors." Adeline pursed her lips in thought. Dantia nodded. "I um. I can leave if you want I just wanted to say hello again." Dantia sheepishly moved a little. Adeline thought about it for a second and shook her head. "No. You are fine." She wasn't a threat or aggressive so why not? Maybe... just maybe Dantia would provide her some different conversation.

That longing for someone to talk to was strong in her chest. She had come to realize after her birthday she really did not have any friends. Granted that lack of friendship led to Kai spending quality time with her thrusting them into something new but... still. Was friendship so bad? Her mother always said not to trust other women especially those who admire you because they hate you more than your critics. And while she was right in a lot of cases, Adeline has also seen friends who have been by each other's side for years. She didn't know what that felt like. She didn't know how to care about someone other than herself.

Dantia smiled and kept her seat beside her. "So Dantia...Where are you from? Manhattan? Malibu? Yorkshire?" Danita giggled at the questions. "Well I am actually from Dorchester, Massachusetts, but my parents are from Nigeria." Adeline gave her a nod of acknowledgement. She began to nervously rub her wrist. What came next? Her college credentials? She supposed so.

"What school did you attend?" Adeline asked. Dantia smiled. "I went to the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Hence where I met your lovely photographer, he was teaching a seminar and proposed internship opportunities and I latched on." Adeline again nodded not knowing what to say. "Very impressive."

Dantia laughed "Says you! How did you become the most legendary model known to man!" Adeline smirked a little at that. "A lot training and molding on my mother's end as well as my end. If you want to be great you have to make yourself great and the longer you did it the more you perfect it." Adeline gave her two cents. Dantia tilted her head. "So you must be really close with your mom, you two have built quite the empire." Adeline had no comment. She and her mom were not what you would call close but they were always together. Her strange relationship with her mother is not something she wanted to discuss with someone she barely knew. Adeline's silence must has tuned Dantia in that it was a touchy topic as she quickly brought a new one that might engage Adeline more.
