"Mouthface, you can't think like that."

While selling the wagon to that idiot , Jacob overheard the mother talking to the daughter, but- it couldn't be, could it?  Everyone assumed Tittymitty had escaped the country or at the very least changed the names of both him and his family.  After all, what other explanation could there be for the fact that PEIP hadn't caught them yet?  PEIP was effective and knew about almost everything that happened in the Black and White. Nobody evaded them- nobody.  But not a peep had been heard about Tittymitty in years- Maybe even not since that PEIP lesson back while Jacob was training.

Although the details were fuzzy, the name "Mouthface" jogged his memory, and he had kept notes on everyone PEIP had wanted over the years, along with the status of if they'd been caught and if they'd been released.  Every day for years his eyes flicked past the name, "Tittymitty," near the top, and now the man was possibly within reach?

Jacob's eyes narrowed as he concentrated, trying to remember the details.

"Listen up, recruits."  The general had sounded as stern as always.

Jacob's gaze had snapped up to the general immediately, not wanting to miss anything.

"We've received word of a man who has witnessed Bliklotep.  It is imperative that we get a hold of him as soon as possible in order to at the very least interrogate him and ensure that Bliklotep has not taken over him.  We have thus far failed to obtain him, but here is what we do know.  His name is Tittymitty-"

Someone began snickering- possibly Johnathan.  Johnathan had been the one to usually laugh at crude jokes.  The general glared in his direction.

"Do you find this situation funny ?" asked the general.

The kid who might have been Johnathan shook his head no .  "It's just... Who names their child Tittymitty ?"

The General shook his head disapprovingly.  "His name is a factual part of this lesson.  Please try harder to take the situation seriously.  Moving on, his daughter goes by Slippery When Wet and has married a man named Jack Bauer.  The two have a daughter by the name of Mouthface.  You will not be the ones to catch him, of course- we have fully trained people out for that at this very moment.  However, as PEIP agents, you will be expected to have the most recent knowledge possible on every part of our wanted list."

And that had been the end- no more info on Tittymitty, they just gone back to lessons about the lords in black- that day might've been Nibblenephim?

"What's that hole in the bottom of it?"  Jacob was abruptly snapped back to negotiations over the wagon.  Hiding frustration at being forced away from his thoughts, he put on a fake smile and answered the man.

"Well, that's a floor window, so you can see the trail itself!"

"Wow, do other wagons have these?  They sound like a feature every wagon needs!"

"Nope!  The Wago-9000 is the only one with such a high-quality floor window, and this happens to be my only model!  Today is really your lucky day, since it's not everyday that I have one in stock!"  He blinked several times, before mentally cursing himself for it.  That was one of his tells.  Luckily for him, the man didn't seem to pick up that it was a possibility that Jacob was lying.  He started talking faster, so that Jack Bauer wouldn't be thinking through everything he said.  "Trust me, pal, if you're headed down the trail to Oregon, this is the wagon for you.  Hey, I never did catch your name, did I?"

"Jack Bauer."

It took all of Jacob's willpower to keep his poker face- this was the Jack Bauer.  The man who married the daughter of Tittymitty.  Jacob could be promoted from spying in Independence if he brought Tittymitty in!  Of course, he'd claim that his reasoning was only that Tittymitty needed to be brought in to ensure that knowledge of the black and white stayed a secret from the masses.  PEIP tried to keep everyone tight-lipped about the Black and White, and Jacob doubted Tittymitty was even aware that he shouldn't be talking about it.
