Richie Lipschitz knew he died.

He had suffered and suffered until he died, under the torture of Max Jagerman's vengeful ghost, but here he was being given a chance to be reborn in a new world. His past life ended terribly but even after having undergone hell and back he knew he wanted to take the chance presented to him, this second chance.

He wasn't reborn as a helpless defenseless baby but his memories of his past life were awakened in this new adult body. He now had two sets of memories, his past life and the memories of the life this body had lived in, and it was quite the life; but if he wasn't careful he could lose it just as fast, as slipping on a banana peel or a bullet to the brain

He didn't know how it all worked, but with these two sets of memories, he could walk this earth wearing a new face and build a life he chose. He didn't think he would chose to revive the Deadliest Man Alive or Owen Carvour identities, but he was curious about Chimera and didn't think they were so bad. Maybe Owen was an unreliable narrator but where else could Richie go at this point? This was 1960s and he had lived in what these people would consider the future. It kind of sucked that he wouldn't have any of the modern day conveniences he was so used to, but with this new body and unexpected skills he might just make things work out. He considered going back to Hatchetfield or the equivalent in this parallel universe but what was the point? None of his friends were there at this point because they hadn't even been born. However it could be useful as hideout, but not if it had the likes of killer ghosts. Scratch that he was not going back to Hatchetfield but maybe he could get someone to look into it, in the future.
