One Night to Forever

New Year's Day

"Where are you going?" Migz asked.

"Kay Kring." Grace said, bringing her pillow with her.

"Pwede bang si Kring nalang ang tumabi dito saatin? Tabi-tabi nalang tayo dito." Migz asked.

"You can sleep without me. Kring needs me." Grace uttered, bit irked. She didn't wait for him to answer as she went out of the room completely.

He sighed and dropped himself into the bed. Kailan mo ba 'ko mamahalin pabalik, Grace?

He thought and stared at their wedding picture which was hanging on the wall.

"Hay naku! Sobrang bagal!" Risa rolled her eyes after seeing Leni finally arrived the restaurant.

"Hi! Sorry late." Leni exchanged pleasantries with the ladies.

"Saan ka galing? Ano nag quickie muna kayo ni Bong?" Risa accused.

"Hindi! Gaga! Yung boses mo naman Hontiveros, nakakahiya!" Leni hissed, looking around to see if someone heard Risa.

"Saan ka ba kasi galing?" Grace asked.

"Galing ako kila mommy. Sinamahan ko dun si Bong, dun daw muna sya mag stay." Leni said.

Risa and Grace frowned. "Cool off na naman kayo?"

"What?! No!" Leni denied. "Susunduin ko din sya mamaya after natin dito. Ayaw ko naman syang iwan mag-isa sa bahay."

"Ay taray!" Risa chuckled.

"Saka natagalan ako dun kasi umuwi na din sina Irene dun sa mansion. Nag baby sit muna ako hanggang sa nalibang na ako." Leni chuckled.

"Ayuun! Inggit ka na naman!" Risa said.

Grace laughed. "Pilitin mo na kasi si Bong para makabuo na ulit kayo. Maganda pag may bata sa bahay, nakakawala ng stress."

Leni just nodded. She haven't talked about it with Bongbong since he's not okay yet. She doesn't want to force him either. "Bahala na. Dadating nalang siguro yun. Ayokong i-open up ulit kay Bong, baka mag breakdown eh."

Risa and Grace nodded.

"For the mean time, makikibaby sit nalang muna ako ng pamangkin." Leni chuckled.

"You can have Kring minsan." Grace suggested. "Sakto wala kami ni Migz next week. Singapore kami nun. Pwede sainyo muna si Kring, if hindi kayo busy."

Leni beamed. "Yeah yeah sure! I'll ask Bongbong about it."

Their orders finally arrived. They talked for hours about their travel plans, the boys especially Bongbong, Kring, and Risa's wedding preparations. It's pure catching up until Grace decided to tell the girls what's been bugging her lately.

"Kit and I saw each other. Dun sa café malapit sa university." Grace said.

Leni and Risa stared at her, waiting for something. They both knew how Grace and Kit met because Kit already told them.

"And? How was it?" Leni asked.

Grace looked up with so much agony in her eyes. "I actually followed him there. Sinadya kong magkita kami."

Leni and Risa's eyes bulged. "What?!"

Grace nodded slowly, thinking of what she did. "Sorry. I— I just want to talk to him."

"Why?" Risa asked.

Grace looked at Risa. "I miss him." She almost whispered.

Leni and Risa exhaled heavily. They cannot believe what they're hearing now.
