(Heya. This chapter came out much faster than other recent ones, huh. Fine by me, at least. Anyway, I don't exactly have anything to say here at the moment, so I'll probably say more at the end. However, I will mention that the first chapter of this book was released almost 2 years ago now. Forgot the exact day but I think it was the 6th. So, for your continuous support, comments, patience, and everything else you guys have done, I thank you all for sticking with this story for so long. It truly does mean a lot to me. Right at the wall of the castle, in the dead of the night, stood three dark figures.
One of them wore a simple black cloth over her mouth, accompanied by her green top and blue jean shorts.
On another one's face was a half-black, half-dark grey mask to hide his identity. He wore dark clothes with a dark orange scarf.
The last of them wore black clothing.
Consisting of black baggy pants and a black shirt with white details, with black skin-tight gloves. Despite the fact that they were supposed to go unnoticed, his clothing had white details.
This absolute dumbass of a thief didn't even try to hide his identity, either.
Despite having a mask to hide his identity, he opted not to wear it until later.
Why, you may ask?
Y/N: "So, can I put it on yet or not?"
Kazuma: "No, dumbass. Once you really need it."
The dumbass let out a "Tch" at that.
Chris: "Where do you even come across a mask that makes your hair glow with a white outline?"
The mask Y/N got from Vanir ended up being bad for the purpose of sneaking about in the dark.
His hair literally glowed by itself, making it impossible to hide in the dark without using Lurk.
As such, the other two told him not to wear it yet.
Y/N: "A shady store clerk who speaks in a weird way gave it to me."
Kazuma: "When did he even have time to bring it to you?"
Y/N: "Eh, you and Iris were playing hide and seek or whatever one time so I strolled around. He was waiting for me at the library of the castle."
Kazuma: "How did he get in...?"
Y/N: "Beats me."
Chris: "You two meet a whole lot of weird people, huh? What's he like?"
Kazuma had to think for a moment.
Kazuma: "Well, he works diligently when chasing away the crows from the trash bins, known as 'Crow-Slayer Vanir-san' around the neighborhood..."
Chris: "Sounds like an earnest guy. I want to meet him!"
The brothers stayed quiet, Kazuma getting his bow and arrow while Y/N watched.
Since he was born, Kazuma had only committed minor misdemeanors like peeing in public, jaywalking, or littering.
Something more major is sexual harassment, but let's not talk about that.
The only illegal things Y/N's done is underage drinking, blackmail, and destruction of property.
All three of those were justified, though.
Chris: "Well then, are you ready, minions?"
Kazuma: "Any time, lady boss."
Y/N: "Ready as ever, Chris."
