  "The task starting!"

Close eyes and say it in heart.

Opening his eyes, a line of text with a translucent head, floated in front of Orion.

[Task 3 begins..., current time 0 hours, timing stops after leaving the library].

Startled by the sudden appearance of the text, Orion looked around suspiciously until a certain oncoming classmate passed over the translucent text as if nothing had happened, then he breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed that the system's text was invisible to others.

Anyway, finding a few random books to read in the library, using up these twenty-four hours, completing the task, right?

Orion lifted his steps towards the maths shelves, ready to pick up a random book to read, when suddenly his eyes glazed over: lines and lines of different values marked each book. Not only that, but the colors of these values also showed a certain pattern: gradation from red to grey in order, depending on the value from the highest to the lowest.

[Didonie's Foundations of Modern Analysis, 10]

  [Linear-Algebra (by Greub), 0]

[New Lectures on Mathematical Analysis, 100]

  [......]

  What the hell?

Orion suddenly remembered the rewards of task 3: the experience that the mission ultimately rewarded seemed to be determined by the value factor of the books read. In other words, just by staying in the library and completing the reading time, even if you completed the mission, all you could get was just one chance to draw a prize.

"A true scholar wouldn't do nothing in the library! ", Orion gulped.

However, there was still one thing he didn't understand, why some books written by famous experts had a relatively low value coefficient determined by the system, and on the contrary, it was those textbooks for beginners that had an uncharacteristically high value coefficient.

Especially that book Didonie's Fundamentals of Modern Analysis, it was a masterpiece that was highly recommended by the algebra professor. But it was still difficult for him to learn it thoroughly, he had to have at least a foundation in real variable functions and general functions before he could understand it.

Right at this moment, he suddenly remembered his attribute panel, his maths level seemed to be LV0, a trace of dawning realization then appeared on his face. Could it be that this so-called value coefficient was rated based on his current level of knowledge?

It turns out to be so!

The so-called value existed on both sides, taking the Riemann Conjecture as an example. For the academic world, the Riemann Conjecture had far-reaching significance, thousands of mathematical formulas were based on the foundation of the Riemann Conjecture, its value was naturally extremely high. However, for Orion himself, letting him understand Riemann's Conjecture was still difficult, and naturally it would not help him in his studies, so its value was naturally zero.

Having figured this out, Orion no longer hesitated and took down the book "New Lectures on Mathematical Analysis" from the bookshelf. Two weeks later, mathematical analysis II will be examined, find a seat next to him, Orion held this book and start reading it.

Unknown if it was the system's effect, gradually, Orion felt that he entered a state of high concentration. It was as if he had completely forgotten about external objects, and there was only one book in the world, and nothing else.

Time passed by, the people in the library are getting less and less, Orion did not notice it at all, still immerse himself in the knowledge of the book. Until someone patted him on the shoulder, only then did he come to his senses from that "oblivious" state.

"It's ten o'clock, it's time to close the library." The librarian said.

Orion hurriedly stood up and slipped a bookmark into his book, "Ah, sorry, I forgot the time, I'll leave now."

"It's okay, in all the years I've been here, it's the first time I've seen a student who can read a maths book with such concentration." The librarian said with emotion.

"Can I still borrow a book now? I want to borrow this book back." Still reeling from that earlier immersive reading experience, Orion had quite a feeling in his mind that he wanted to continue the reading.

He had never been so fascinated by any mathematical problem that he had studied. It was as if what he had read earlier was not some specialized book, but a novel.

"It's fine, just borrow it if you want to read it, the computer isn't turned off, I'll register it for you, and you have your library card with you, right?"

Orion said sincerely, "Sure, thank you so much!"

  "You're welcome!"

Stuffing the borrowed book into his backpack, Orion left the library. The moment he passed through that holographic panel, the timer for task 3 paused.

But Orion's attention wasn't even on that at the moment, he didn't want to delay a second now, he just wanted to quickly get back to that amazing reading experience and continue reading.

Back in his dormitory, Orion pulled his book out of his backpack and took a seat, flipping to the bookmarked page and focusing his attention on the book.

  Ten seconds passed...

  One minute passed......

  Five minutes passed .........

Only two pages, but he quickly flipped back to the original page because he couldn't even read a single word.

          Can't ..., can't concentrate at all.

It wasn't because the environment was too noisy, but because he couldn't focus on at all. The situation he has right now was much like his usual state, the slightest breeze or movement in the outside world could ruffle his already chaotic thoughts.

However, when he was in the library earlier, even if someone was talking, even if someone was walking around, he was able to be completely oblivious and immersed into the world of books.

Orion sighed and put down the book in his hands.

"Was that the power of the system?"
