Repeatability 0.3 percent ......, the paper qualified couldn't be better.
"Orion, answer me honestly, did you really write this paper yourself?" Professor Tang stared at Orion with a sharp gaze, and through those thick old glasses, the cloudy pupils flickered with hard-to-conceal surprise, as well as a hint of excitement.
It was just that he still couldn't believe that those mathematical argumentation and discussion in this thesis had come from an undergraduate.
Without avoiding that inquiring gaze, Orion smiled and said modestly, "Thanks you for your teaching."
"Well, at least he spent points to exchange it from the system, so it should be considered write this paper by himself, right?" When Orion said this, he had a clear conscience!
Retracting his eyes from Orion's face, Tang continued to look at the paper for a long time. Orion just stood by and waited. As the sky outside the window darkened, and the clock's hour hand slowly climbed to six, Professor Tang finally saw the last line of the thesis and let out a long breath.
"The argumentation is very good, and the only flaw is that there are still some problems with the layout of the thesis, the wording of the details and the formatting of the cited literature are slightly inappropriate, but these are all minor problems. You're only a freshman and you're able to write such a paper, amazing!"
Saying that, Professor Tang took off his glasses and put them on the table, saying gratefully, "Let's put the paper here, I'll change it slightly for you."
Orion was overjoyed and quickly said, "Thank you Professor!"
"Remember to come here in the next two days, or I'll call you ...... leave your phone number here." Orion Crest naturally followed the advice and quickly wrote down his phone number.
"By the way, have you ever considered which journal to submit it?"
Orion Crest smiled coyly, "I searched online and saw that AMC's impact factor is quite high, so, I plan to ......"
" Bullshit!" Professor Tang reprimanded in a low voice, "What's the point of submitting to that journal? If doing so, you would regret it in time. Do you know that AMC's publication is not counted in the assessment for our graduates?"
"Huh? Is there such a thing?" But even if he knew that, Orion didn't really care, after all, he hadn't even decided about the graduate school. He just wanted to get the paper published to complete the system's tasks. Orion would be screwed if he had to submit a paper to a rigorous journal, wait in line for months, and then get rejected at the end.
"The Journal of Symbolic Logic" or "Bulletin of Theoretical and Applied Mathematics" are better journals for this paper. The first one tends to publish research papers and review articles on symbolic logic, while the latter one focuses on research in the three directions of applied mathematics, mathematical physics and mathematical analysis. Take my advice at your discretion, and remember, if you dare submit this paper to a journal like AMC, don't come see me again."
whoops ......, Holding his tongue, Orion rephrased. "Thank you, I ......"
......
The office returned to quiet, one student whispered, "Professor, is that an undergraduate?"
"Can't believe it, right?" Professor Tang laughed, "And I'm telling you, not only is he an undergraduate, he's also a freshman!"
Another graduate student's eyes widened in disbelief, "Freshman? SCI submissions in the first year of college? Are undergraduates so amazing nowadays?"
......
Just as Orion visit Professor Tang, the Advanced Algebra exam was finally over. With the collection of the papers completed, there was a ghostly cry inside and outside the exam room.
" Damn it, there's simply not enough time! I still have two big questions left."
"It's too hard, right?"
"The Fourier series question? I didn't even look at that question, I just skipped it!"
"Don't ask me, I don't know, I just want to be quiet ......"
"How's Bob? Can you pass?"
......
The mobile phone in Orion Crest's pocket vibrated, "Hello?" "It's me," Fatty Woo's cheerful voice came through, "How's it going? Is your body better?"
The last time he had a heat stroke, it was Woo taking him to the hospital. Thinking about this, Orion was just a moment of embarrassment, he hadn't called to formally thank him.
"Not bad, thanks for last time ......" Orion apologized.
"I have to thank you for not having a big problem," Ocean Woo, not really caring, continued, "Are you free tonight?"
"Yes, ...... What are you up to?"
"Express parcel sorting, $100 a night, coming or not?"
Orion immediately asked, "Where?"
"There's a car waiting in front of the school, leaving at seven o'clock. If you want to come, hurry up."
"I'm coming now!"
......
The van was parked at the school entrance and seeing Orion walking out, Ocean Woo waved his hand from a long distance.
Pulling open the door, Orion sat down on a small bench and look around. Aside from himself, there were ten other people inside, all students at Gordon University, and all of them were males.
Orion had done that part-time work twice before, at least it was easier than handing out flyers, the only thing that bothered him was having to stay up all night. However, thinking of the $100 payment, Orion still accepted it.
Now, there is a total of three thousand left on the card, when the time comes to submit the SCI paper, there would be review fees, and he is not willing to ask his family for money.
"One hundred a night, paid every other day, remember to send me the paypal account. The sorting centre job is very simple, just unload the goods on the truck, get to the warehouse conveyor belt."
The van finally stopped at the destination, the factory building at the intersection is very large, roughly more than 2,000 square metres, with several trucks parked in front of the entrance. The official sorters in the factory had already started working, a middle-aged man in blue overalls stood at the door and looked around, after seeing Ocean Woo, he immediately waved his hand, signalling them to come over.
"Everyone's here, right?" Grinning with a yellow tooth, the man said with a smile.
"Let's hurry up and get started." Ocean Woo said as he tactfully handed out a cigarette to the middle-aged man.
"Alright, you guys follow me."
Saying that, he turned around and led the way in the direction of the workshop.
