This time, Orion left quietly, simply packing his bags and heading to the airport.
The east coast sun was a little harsh on his face, standing at the exit of the Philadelphia airport, Orion carried his suitcase and squinted to adjust for a moment before heading off to the side of the road.
He'd sent Wynston the flight information the day before and agreed on a meeting place.
Next to the coffee shop on the corner of the airport exit, Orion was sure enough to spot the familiar car, and Wynston standing next to it. "Haha, Orion! You're finally here!" Orion got into Wynston's car and travelled to Princeton, a small town situated between Philadelphia and New York.
Along the way, Wynston told him about Princeton's campus, but as he went on, the conversation somehow drifted to his ex-girlfriends.
With an awkward but polite smile on his face, Orion listened to him quietly.
Just as he was about to fall asleep, Wynston finally stopped recounting his relationship history and pulled over.
"Here we are."
Orion looked out the window and saw the familiar building.
Without realising it, he had reached his destination.
After getting out of the car, Wynston helped Orion drag the suitcase out from the back of the car and casually said.
"Let me take you to check in, I reckon the last time you came to Princeton, you haven't had a chance to wander around the place. You might get lost the first time you're here, I meet freshmen every year who ask for directions."
Orion nods and says, "That would be a pleasure."
Indeed, the last time he'd come to Princeton, he'd spent a good chunk of his time holed up in a ten-square-foot hotel, delving into the twin prime conjecture. And by the time he'd turned that conjecture into a theorem, the five-day academic conference was over, and he was soon on a flight home.
With that, he took Orion, and walked in the direction of the administration building.
......
As one of the several universities in the colonial period of the United States, Princeton University, whether it is the academic style or the layout of the campus buildings are influenced by the British universities, with a kind of Oxford-style antiquity.
This antiquity is like the two bronze statues of tigers in front of Nassau Hall, sticking to themselves in this ever-changing world.
While most of the elite who graduate from here will meet up at one of the investment banks on Wall Street, it has to be said that it really is the furthest place from the world of fame and fortune among the Ivy League schools.
Bringing Orion to the front of Nassau Hall, Wynston did not accompany Orion inside, but stood outside waiting for him, watching his suitcase for him.
Walking into the historic administration building with his materials, Orion quickly found the place to register for enrolment, following the instructions in the brochure and the door sign on the side of the corridor.
Sitting in the office was a Latin American woman in her mid-thirties or so, with a slightly darker complexion and a ponytail, probably an assistant or something like that, judging by the dress code.
It was probably because someone had come here to say hello ahead of time and had told the lady that a student would be coming in to report today, so she simply glanced at Orion and said formulaically.
