With a defeated look on his face, Carodit sighed, rather helplessly.
"I admire your dedication and confidence in science. If you are successful, I hope we will be considered."
Orion smiled and said, "Let's see how it goes, if the cooperation on the modified PDMS material is still satisfactory to me, I don't mind continuing to work with your side on new projects."
A smile finally appeared on Carodit's face.
"Then I wish you success. ...... By the way, I would like to ask, that hollow carbon sphere direction, do you think it can really be the key to solving the shuttle effect? Please don't misunderstand, I'm not prying into your research, it's just ......"
"I did say something similar at the seminar on lithium-sulphur batteries, but I'd prefer if you didn't over-interpret it," Orion replied, rather head-scratchingly, " Just that I'm optimistic about it, I'm not saying that it's definitely going to be able to be done."
This is not the first time he's been asked this question.
In the spirit of academia, Orion certainly takes responsibility for everything he says. However, seeing that so many people had shown a exceedingly strong interest in hollow carbon spheres because of his few words, he couldn't help but feel a little panicky in his heart.
What if it failed?
Wouldn't the reputation be ruined?
He now somewhat understood why that old Scottish professor called Peter Bruce was desperately trying to publish papers bragging about lithium-air batteries after being defeated countless times.
It wasn't just a matter of funding.
What one has bragged about, one has to keep on bragging about with tears in one's eyes.
It seems that he himself must work harder ......
Carodit laughed, "I'm just asking casually, you mustn't be too concerned."
But looking at his expression, it didn't seem like a question asked casually ......
Carodit didn't stay at Gordon university for too long, and left after the instruments were sent into the lab building.
Although he regretted not being able to reach a co-development agreement with Orion, it was only a pity for him. Scientific research was like a gamble, even the best scholars could not guarantee that they would be able to produce results.
At most, it is the same to wait for the results to come out and then co-operate with him on the patent issue.
......
With the first batch of experimental instruments in place, Orion's research institute on Gordon's side was no longer just an empty lab building.
According to Matt's phone call from Belgium, the last batch of instruments had already departed, and he and Bob would probably return two days later.
Listening to Matt's tone on the phone, there was already some meaning of impatience.
After all, that is a few tens of millions of dollars of equipment, for a researcher, it is impossible to say that it is not excited.
Not only Matt in Belgium loves this batch of equipment, the instrument has just been transported into the experimental building, less than a day, the dean of the chemical institute, Walter, came to the door.
