  Carella froze.

The sudden questioning caught her off guard.

Returning to her senses, she quickly turned the paper to page four.

However, after reading it a few times without finding what the problem was, she raised her eyebrows slightly and a hint of anger at being teased flashed across her face.

"I think I've written it clearly, what's the problem?"

As she said this, her eyes were fixed on Orion, who had risen to speak, and there was a distinct note of displeasure in her tone.

Orion reiterated the question, "Your usage of the yukawa potential function is strange, and I would like you to explain that part."

"You're asking me why?" Arms clasped in front of her chest, Carella teased, "Importing the yukawa potential function into a Lagrangian, I don't think there's anything to explain, and if you can't even understand something of that level, I suggest it'd be better if you went and rewound your quantum chromodynamics textbook before coming back to the presentation."

There was a bit of laughter from the stage.

There were friendly laughs and not a few flirtatious ones.

Of course, there were those who weren't laughing, but were thinking hard.

Stewart and Joannes, for example, and the Acceptors sitting in the front row ......

and, Professor Brunos, who sensed a hint of something amiss.

Turning to the fourth page of the paper, he frowned and began to carefully examine what had gone wrong.

Orion followed with a smile, but the expression on his face didn't change much.

Academic exchanges were not meant to embarrass anyone.

Yes is yes, wrong is wrong, there was no need to be concerned about anything else.

After a moment's pause, Orion continued to speak, pointing out the problem he had found.

"As you said, importing the yukawa potential function into the Lagrangian is a basic operation. Yet the value of Λ* you calculated on page 5, line 14 is 0.713, and based on that number you conclude that there are two resonance states between the 1.05-1.06 GeV energy region ......"

Taking a deep breath, Orion glanced at the drafts that had been casually typed on the A4 paper, organised his thoughts and continued.

"Although this is not our team's idea of analysis, I just did the maths following your process, and the calculated Λ* value is 0.621. I guess your mistake would be in line 11 on page 5, where you brought in the wrong maths for the coupling constant calculation for the D meson."

The room was quiet for a short while.

Immediately afterwards, there was a loud murmur of exchanges of words.

  And ......

  hard-to-conceal awe.

It wasn't that they were surprised at the questioner's tricky angle of questioning or his discerning eyes, but they were surprised at his speed of calculation, and his sensitivity to numbers.

Whether it was discovering this question, or calculating the correct answer, completing all of this in such a short period of time was not an easy task!

  "Orion?"

Sitting in the corner of the venue, Wynston's eyes widened in surprise at the back of the man sitting in the front row of the venue.
