Institute for Advanced Mathematics, the time is eleven-thirty in the morning.

At this very moment, Deligne was checking his inbox, cursorily scanning through the lines of headings, yet just then, he suddenly froze.

"Any even number greater than 2 can be expressed as the sum of two prime numbers"

  Goldbach's Conjecture?

Eyes narrowed, Deligne clicked on the email and looked at the abstract of the paper.

There is no doubt that this paper is written by Orion, after all, it's not the first time he has reviewed a paper for him.

Reading down the body section line by line, Deligne frowned slightly.

Suddenly, he looked up at the doctoral student sitting not far away and said, "Smith, when you go to the dining hall once in a while, bring me back a bacon sandwich and coffee."

The PhD student named Smith stretched, stood up and said, "Yes, Professor ...... are you planning to eat in your office today?"

"Yes," Deligne turned on the printer while taking his glasses out of his pocket and putting them on, "I have a very interesting paper waiting for me."

  ......

Five full days passed, and Orion didn't hear anything until the sixth day when he suddenly received an unexpected phone call.

  The caller was Shing-tung Yau.

After picking up, there was only one sentence.

  "You proved it?!"

Hearing this fiery question, Orion first froze slightly, then nodded and said.

"If you are referring to Goldbach's Conjecture ...... I did indeed prove it out."

After hearing Orion's answer, there was no movement on the other end of the phone for a while.

Because he was too surprised, Yau didn't know what to say for a while.

He had seen many talented new generation mathematicians; however, Orion was undoubtedly the most dazzling one, and at the same time, the one that surprised him the most.

At that time, he only suggested Orion to work towards Goldbach's Conjecture, and did not expect to prove it with his ability.

Even if he had accumulated enough experience in the study of the prime number problem, it would be impossible to solve the conjecture in a short time.

Orion's performance, however, was completely out of his expectation ......

Taking a deep breath, Yau asked seriously, "What percentage of certainty do you have?"

Orion thought for a moment and replied, "More than ninety per cent."

Actually, he wanted to say one hundred percent, after all, even the system had approved his steps, but it was better to be a slightly lower profile, no one knows what kind of tricky questions the reviewer would ask. He was 100% sure that he was right, but not 100% sure that he would be recognised.

Hearing Orion's answer, Mr. Yau nodded.

The direction of his research was mainly partial differential equations and differential geometry, and he even had some research on mathematical physics, but only the field of analytic number theory was not included, so he was unable to evaluate Orion's paper from an academic perspective.
