"...... Ah, it feels like I'm missing the whole world."

In one of the offices of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Isabel was breathlessly slumped on her desk with a lifeless expression on her face.

It had been two weeks after New Year's Day, and yet not being able to attend that Christmas party was still a bit of a nagging feeling for her.

The mentor at the University of Pennsylvania was nothing short of Spartanly strict with her students. Ever since she arrived, there was a never-ending list of subjects waiting for her, never letting her idle.

In the beginning, such a life had felt quite fulfilling to her, after all, she did learn quite a lot.

But as time went on, even with her passion for the management aspects of her job, she gradually started to get overwhelmed.

Isabel believes that her situation is definitely an isolated case, as most of the international students studying at Wharton have sympathised with her.

Although everyone was also working as free labour for their tutors, few of them were as exaggerated as she was.

At that moment, the door to the office pushed open and Ms. Michelle Pasi, wearing a fur-collared coat, walked in.

This sophisticated powerhouse had cleaned herself up nicely, and her professional make-up did a good job of hiding the crow's feet at the corners of her eyes.

Glancing at the students sprawled on the table, she spoke with an expressionless face.

"I'm going to meet with the client in a while, are you ready with the chart about the market research on negative electrode materials for lithium batteries in France?"

Isabel, who was lying on the table, breathlessly pulled open the drawer and took out the USB stick, "It's basically done."

Management is a very broad subject, and that means it can be as narrow or as broad as you want it to be.

Maybe one day it's doing company organisational structure planning, and the next it's starting to collect data for researching the French lithium battery anode material market. The types of services they offer will vary in response to the different requirements of their clients.

Although the AM firm outsourced only the former, Ms. Pasi was keen to note that the Cayman Islands-based StarTech's co-operation agreement with Belgium's Umicore did not include the vast French market.

For her, this was certainly a surprise discovery. The need to carry out market research and develop a strategy to maximise the benefits of licensing intellectual property rights requires a professional like her.

Offering her clients "value-added services" in this way is one of the ways in which she is expanding the scope of her business.

After all, business doesn't just come to you, and a good Wall Street professional needs to be able to not only meet the needs of her clients, but also to help them find out what they need.

Taking the flash drive from Isabel's hand, Ms. Pasi casually placed it in the carrier bag she had placed it in and said with a blank expression.

"I'll be checking your homework, as for now, go ahead and take a nap. And by the way, say hello to Los for me and tell her to turn in her report as soon as possible, the deadline is tomorrow."

Isabel certainly didn't take her words as compassionate towards herself, the subtext of the statement was nothing more than that she could work better when she was well rested.
