The girl keeps on roaming around to the dense forest she was in, at first she is fascinated with the lush greenery of her surroundings, but her amazement was immediately changed with panic and worried.
"God dammit" she muttered, as she looked ahead to look for his family, she wipe a sweat from her forehead and sighed.
"Dad! Mom!" She cried as she tried to walk faster. Tim, her brother and her was having a race to their car, they bet that whoever loose will wash the dishes tonight and she hate to wash the dishes so she really wanted to win the challenge.
She saw Tim take the route they took yesterday and she wanted to take another way as she is so determined to win, she remembered last night as she collected fire woods with her dad he mentioned that there's a short cut back to where they parked their car yesterday, and she swear that she is in the right path when she turned left earlier.
But she's been going around in circles for more than fifteen minutes now and the forest are becoming more dense as she steps forward, so with a heavy heart she turned back to where she started, feeling defeated from her brother's challenge. She reached their campsite after ten minutes, she could still the remnants of their stay in there. She took a deep breath and accepted her defeat.
"Tim will taunt me for the remaining of summer" she muttered, she walked ahead, and in no time she met her mother along the way
"There you are Eli!" She cried, her mother immediately went to her and held her arms
"I'm sorry mom, I got lost" she told her, her mother look at her, there's no trace of disappointment in her face rather she saw that she was relieved in finding her.
"That's alright your dad and siblings are in the car they are waiting for us" she smiled and pulled the girl's hand as she lead her to the right way to their car, after a few minutes they reached the spot, but then a high pitched screeching sounds came and the mother and daughter watched in horror as a big white truck looses it breaks, directly hitting where their car was parked.
