"Hey what are you thinking?" Rob said breaking the silence between us, I shake my head and look ahead the image of Amanda still flashes my mind, am I jealous?
We are currently on our way home now and I am silent the whole time, I heard him took a deep breath and rest his hands on my thighs
"Eli, I know something is bothering you, just tell me" his voice frustrated
"Why did you left Florence?" I ask not looking at him ignoring how hot his palms on my thighs
"Well, I can't take the attention most female students give to me" he calmly said, I raised my eyebrow looking at him
"Ever confident Mr. Bailey" I scoffed, taking a deep breath
"It's true, two years in that school is too much, they are willing to do everything for my attention, I almost got in trouble for that" he explained patiently
"And Amanda was one of your students?" I asked, bringing my attention again outside the car's window
"Yes, she's one of the reason why I left, you see how she introduced herself to you, she practically created this rumor about me dating her, it went too bad that I was called by the student boards, they found me not guilty of course but then I decided to quit" he explained calmly
"Isn't ironic though?"
"I know Eli, I understand if you don't want to continue this anymore" his statement caught me off guard, that I immediately I looked at him my eyes in horror
"How can you say that?" I asked perplexed, my tone a little hurt
"I just don't know what to say, or.. no I am scared Eli, I'm afraid that you might be thinking I tend to take advantage of my students, and maybe I am taking advantage on you too because to be honest I never do nor intended to date my students not until I met you, I tried real hard, real fucking hard Eli to stop thinking about you, but it's hard to see you everyday, being so pretty, being so smart and kind. And I can't take it when men lurking around for your attention, I just wanted to pull them all away from you. I never felt like this before"
Why does he have the ability to turn our normal conversations into declaration of feelings? All I just wanted to know if he tried to sleeps with one of his former students. From all the words he said, I don't know why but all my worries about Amanda just evaporated
"Hey, I trust you and I am not going anywhere, not until you pushed me" I rest my hands on his thigh, he looked at me and he smiled
"I will never push you away Eli, never" he said returning his eyes on the road.
"How's Charleston hunny?" Missy asked me, she chopped her long blonde hair into a pixie cut, highlighting her structured jaw line.
"Wow Missy you look wonderful" I said
"She sure does" Jayson answered back taking the empty seat beside Missy
"Why you don't compliment me like Jayson does to Missy?" Ash pouted at Tyler, everyone laughed as Tyler mocked Ash pout
"Idiot" Ash playfully slapped Tyler's shoulder.
"So how was your trip?" Alice asked, she's currently flipping through the pages of a sport magazine. Alice is lesbian, but she only dates girls that don't study in our school, she have reasons, she always say but then again we don't need to know
"Well my grandfather was nice, I think I can invite him over thanksgiving" I said to them
"Or you can visit to New Jersey" Alice said not taking her eyes from the magazine
