Once inside Rob's home, I immediately went to grab a wine, which surprised him but he just let me. I am so comfortable around Rob's house that when I went to his cupboard I know where his glasses were stored.

"Wine or beer?" I asked him from the kitchen

"Beer" he said, I nodded and went to check his fridge and grabbed a bottle and opened it. I bring our drinks to the living room, I gave his beer and sat next to him

"Start" I told him as I drink my wine

"When you were in New Jersey, I talked to Linda as her grades are not really good, I just wonder since her grades are consistently okay" he started and take a swig from his bottle

"Then later that day I saw her crying in the library so I asked what's going on and she let me saw her bruise on her wrist" I remembered the bruise, Rob has really a soft spot with people who suffered from abused

"I asked her if that's the reason why she can't concentrate in her lessons" he take a drink again then looked at me "I offered her to go to the guidance counselor to open up, but she refused because she's scared that her mom will take her anger more at her" okay, typical reasoning I think, I take a drink and refilled my glass

"So I told her that's it's up to her, but I reminded her that she should make sure that she can catch up with her studies, and she agreed" Rob raised his eyebrow as he saw me refilled my glass once more, he took a deep breath

"After that, she always come at my room everyday, at first I tutored her but then she started to open up and she told me she never felt so good in sharing her story to me" I closed my eyes, and I know what Linda meant.

Rob doesn't understand the effect he has to other people, he is a natural in making people comfortable around him, and I hate to admit that Linda somehow felt how trusting Rob is.

"But then things gotten a little shady" he muttered bitterly "The day you saw us, I want to correct you she hugged me, she said the beatings got worse, and I tried to tell her that she needs to tell to the guidance counselor for help but she said she's scared. I really wanted to follow you that day but I tried my best not to" and of course I know why

"I saw you two earlier that day during lunchtime" I said not looking at him, Rob take a deep breath

"She came to me because I gave her an F at the essay you guys made, she wanted to make it up, she can't afford to have a Fs consecutively " he explained drinking from his bottle.

"So you said things gotten shady?" I asked

"Remember the day I tried to stop you after class?" I nodded, I did not stay since Linda called Rob at the same time

"She showed some additional bruises, but I noticed the other bruise had smudge on it" he drinks again emptying his bottle

"Another one?" I asked pointing at his beer, he nodded and I stood up to get one, I returned to the living room giving the bottle to him

"So you saw a smudge, then" I told him, damn I don't know why I am so calm

"I grabbed her hands and rubbed all the bruises she showed me, it was all make up" he muttered

"Wait? What?!" My eyes went wild as I looked at Rob. Linda Myers wouldn't do such a thing

"The only bruise that it is real is the one on her wrist, she saw how I was so concerned about it that she tricked me in believing that she was abused at home so that she can spent more time with me" my mind is hazy right now, how desperate Linda is? It made Belle look like a saint.

"It doesn't explain why she keeps on failing" I looked at Rob and I saw how disgusted his look is

"Her parents are going to divorce so she's temporarily out of focus, but when she saw that I am willing to tutor her, she purposely fail my class, I asked other teachers but it seems she doesn't have any problems with them" I leaned my back to the couch
