And just like that we are back at the classroom, pretending nothing is going on between us. I looked at the board as I took down notes from his lessons, as we continue to stole glances at one another. The school bell rings and I hurriedly went out, as I need to do final revision for my History essay.
Missy and Ash entered the room and Ash sat down to her usual sit besides me sighing
"Is there something wrong?" I asked her, Ash sighed and brought out a letter from Fordham, I gasped
"Don't get excited yet" she stops me as she opened her laptop and showed it to me. There's an email from Colombia University as well
"Damn it" I muttered
"I know right" she look defeated, we stopped talking as Mrs. Goodwill entered the classroom
"Okay Ash this is now or never" Missy said as she opened Ash's laptop and I hold the letter from Fordham. We decided we both opened it, so that Ash will get over it, her disapproval from NYU is still fresh for her
"Okay guys" Ash took a deep breath as I ripped open the letter and Missy got Ash logins for Colombia, after a few minutes
"I'm sorry Ash" Missy whispered then they all looked at me
"Fordham then this fall for you Ash" I smiled at her as I gave her the acceptance letter
"Well that's fine at least I'm still going to New York, I don't know what to do if I was not accepted either of the three" she gaze at her letter smiling
"So this is it guys after summer we will never be the same" Missy sighed
"I know, I just wished we were still in third grade crying about pencil cases" Ash chuckled
"And now we are talking about university" I smiled at them
Even though we are six in the group, Ash and Missy are the closest friends among all. Jayson, Tyler and Alice are great friends as well, but these two are my closest and I trust them the most. After a few minutes Jayson, Tyler and Alice arrived on our lunch table. I looked at Jayson as he kiss Missy
"Can we talk?" Jayson asked Missy, Ash and I looked at one another. Missy nodded, Jayson took her hand and they walked away from us. I do hope this is something good.
"You take care okay? Call me once you arrive" Rob hold my hands before I go down to his car
"Yes I will thanks for dropping me by" I kissed the tip of his nose and unbuckle my seat belt, I turned to look at him again, and he pulled me into a kiss.
"Rob stop being irresistible I might missed my flight" I told him after we pulled apart.
"I will miss you" he whispered
"Same babe" I whispered back, and give him a light kiss then I went down from his car, he then speeds up as I enter the airport. Last week in the middle of my Math Concepts class John called me, he wanted me to come to New Jersey.
His law firm will be holding a party and he said he wanted his partners or whoever those people are to meet me, he called the school to give me advance projects/homework for missing three days of school days. It will be my first time to go to New Jersey, might as well check on Rutgers if time permits me.
The flight towards Columbia to Trenton is just over an hour and soon enough I arrived at the airport waiting for John, he mentioned that he will be fetching me then all of sudden a black Volvo stopped in front of me, then a driver went down opening the back door.
"Eli! Welcome to New Jersey!" John said as he went out from the car he was holding a bouquet of red roses, I flinched from the sight, but John did not notice it. The driver then get my bag, I did not even noticed he is getting it from me, I hesitated but gave it to him and placed it at the trunk of the car. John gave me the flowers as he led me inside the car.
