I am preparing for our trip to Charleston,Rob and I decided to have an overnight stay, since we don't know how long John and I will talk. Benjamin been avoiding me, he keeps on sending me apology messages a hundred times, but when I did not reply to any of those he stops, Rob made sure he always sit far away from me, no one knows what happened and I'm glad it stays that way.
Rob shares his lunchtime with me, I enjoy it even though we spend it inside his car. Missy and Ash ask me why I'm missing during lunch I just dismissed them saying I am doing extra credit for Math Concepts. Now that my mom and Joe been gone for quite a long time now I am used to the new freedom I have right now, and honestly even though I am alone at the house I am loving it this way. I just hope wherever my mom is she's safe.
Thanksgiving is fast approaching and the air begins to get cold and leave started to fall – it's my favorite season, and the atmosphere makes me in a better mood. I choose a simple dark skinny jeans, white tops and layered it with a casual plaid shacket buttoned down long sleeved shirt for our trip today. My phone buzzes and saw Rob's name
Rob: I'm here
I grabbed my overnight bag and locked our doors, I climbed to his car the smell of his cologne – wood sage and sea salt met my face, I will never get over this scent.
"Hello" He smiles at me and he pulled my hands to check my wrist
"Hi" I murmur, mesmerized with how gorgeous he is. He's wearing a simple white shirt, denim jacket and a pair of jeans.
"All set?" He asked grabbing something on his side
"Ice coffee!" I exclaimed getting the cup from him, he chuckled and started to drive
"Benjamin is currently cleaning the whole gym" he suddenly said, he looked at me to get an reaction
"Alone?" I asked, he nods "alone" he repeated, he grabbed my injured wrist, the purple bruise is so visible, I hope John will not noticed
"Still I am not okay that he just got a detention" his voice low and serious. I looked ahead looking at the passing tress and houses, Whatever I want I surely get I shudder at the thought, Rob noticed it and asked me what's wrong, I'm still debating if I am going to tell him or not, it's been a week after the incident but those words still haunts me. I looked at Rob, his eyes on the road.
"Rob, he told me whatever he wants he surely get, and I'm worried about that" I said with an anxious voice on my tone
"He will never come near you I promised" he grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it
"I know, but what if? After all he got my number, my address and my schedule in just a day" I took a deep breath
"Those records are available at school, he got it there" he explained to me
"Which is off limits for students" I reminded him, he frowned looking for a word to say
"Yeah you're right" he finally said, I took a deep breath
"Anyways let us not talk about him shall we?" After all what's waiting for me at Charleston is more important
"Agreed" he nods
After dropping me off at the restaurant where John and I first met, Rob went to the inn he had reserved for the night. I went into the restaurant to seek for John and there he was, reading a magazine, at the far end left corner.
He looked just like my father, and it made me wonder if my father would have looked the same if he had been given the opportunity to live to that age. I never realized how similar they looked; perhaps I was too nervous to notice it the first time, but now that I'm more at ease, I can see their striking likeness.
