"Hello to the luckiest girl in town" Ash greeted me as they entered my house
"Shut up Ash!" I glared at her, she just laughed at me
"So where's your hot boyfriend?" She glanced around my house
"In his house? I don't keep him 24/7 Ash" I rolled my eyes to her, as Missy entered our house. We agreed to have a girl's night out, we called Alice to join us but she and her family is currently in London for a vacation. I noticed that Missy is anxious, she went to our couch and she sits down, as she pulls her laptop
"What's up Missy are you okay?" I asked, sitting next to her
"She's been like that since I fetch her" she glanced at Missy and take the empty sit beside her as she looked at Missy's laptop
"No way" Ash muttered, I pulled her screen for me to check what are they looking, it is Missy's email and there's an email at Harvard telling her to check her admission decision by going at their Application Portal.
Since Missy's record and accomplishments have been consistently strong over time she decided to apply on Harvard's Restrictive Early Action Program
"Have you checked it yet?" I asked Missy, she shakes it
"Let's go ahead and check it Missy" Ash encourages
"Yeah it's now or never" I whispered but I am nervous as well and I don't know why
"I can't look, I got the email this mid December, but I just can't" Missy said, Ash pulled the laptop and went to the application portal page
"You're joking Missy! You should have checked it sooner" I told her
"Enter your email and password" she shoved the laptop back to Missy, and she typed her details and she gave it back to Ash, I went besides Ash as we both checked the portal there's a big Status Update on the page
"Ok let's do this" Ash clicked on the View Update. I glanced at Missy and she is fidgeting, as she walks back and forth, I looked back at the laptop and read it.
I glance at the letter and a big HARVARD COLLEGE and it's logo is at the topmost of it, I read through the letter, first my brows are furrowed then as I continue to read it my mouth smiles little by little until Ash and I looked at one another
"You made it Missy! You're in!" We screamed, we both pulled her and give her a hug
"NO WAY!!!" she pulled her laptop and read her own acceptance letter.
"You will have an invitation to check Harvard starting March Missy!" I shrieked as I continue to read the letter
"I know I know, isn't that great?!" Ash nudged her
"I can go there by our spring break" Missy said "wait I am going to call my parents" she stood up and made a call
"Wow Harvard" I whistled
"Among us three we know Missy is the one to go to an Ivy League" Ash commented
"How about you? Did you heard anything from the schools you applied for?" I turned to Ash
"Not yet, and you?" She asked back
"Same but Rutgers have a high acceptance rate but who knows right?" I said to her, as Missy entered back in our living room.
"So tomorrow is New Year's Eve we will be having a double celebration! My parents are so happy!" she hugged us, good thing the pain in my back is no longer that painful, the bruise is now a pale yellowish brown.
"Sure we are going to get intoxicated we will not noticed it is 12AM!" Ash happily exclaimed, I bit my lips as I avoided their gaze
"Eli?" Ash noticed my change of mood
