I woke up early so that we can leave early, last night I checked which shelter I can place Marie into and I find a place in Durham in North Carolina which is mostly three hours drive from here. I went down on my room and I saw her still sleeping.

I looked at her and stare at her face, her beauty still evident on her face despite the bruises and cuts, I sighed why do people like Dave, Joe and Sean existed. Woman should not suffered like this, I mean no one should suffered like this. I just can't imagine how easily this men landed their punches to people who don't have the ability to fight back, they are cowards in doing this.

After Marie and I broke up, I do have couple of flings but after every flings I always returned to her, but when I left New Jersey for good, I also decided to forget all about us, we're both not good to each other, we are poison to one another, we are toxic. My mind can't accept it at first because I am blinded with lust and desire, but when I think about it what we have is just sex and more sex. We are badly in lust that I mistook it for love.

Marie and I even ventured the BDSM world a bit, since that's what Marie wanted, I admit I like it when I have full control during sex, I love how I can be a dominant, but inflicting pain was too much for me, I mean a little spanking, hair gripping is fine but using canes and whips is too much.

I understand that people like that lifestyle, but for me I can't see any pleasure in pain. The sex Marie gave me is I can say is thrilling, that it took me sometime to overcome it. "Marie" I kneel before her and gently shake her, she stirred then she opened her eyes and smiled at me, she then pulled me then kiss me, I pushed her immediately and bolted up straight

"I'm sorry" she sheepishly said, I took a deep breath, suddenly there was a knock on my door, then a ring on my phone, I looked at the caller, of course it is Eli, she always drop in my place after her usual morning run, I didn't expect her today since I know her friends stayed at her house last night. How bad timing is this one, with Marie in my house right now. I took a deep breath and looked at Marie

"Stay here" I demanded her pointing at the couch I went through the door and opened it, and Eli was standing at my doorway, sweaty but still beautiful as ever

"Hey handsome" she greets me then she pulled me into a kiss, once I closed the door behind then she stopped when she noticed my kiss were tensed

"Is there something wrong?" She pouted, guilt immediately washed over me, why do I need to feel this ways? Marie is nothing to me now, so I pulled her in to my arms crushing her on my chest.

"I told you, you should not be running alone" this is the best reason I have right now but to be honest with Benjamin still on the loose, she must know that she needs to be extra careful

She raised her head from my chest and brushed her fingers on my jaw "I know, but I just want to drop by and..." she stops, her smile faltering her eyebrows furrowed and looked behind me with complete confusion on her eyes

I turned around and saw Marie standing a few inches from us. My heart drops, and I can see the reaction of Eli, I don't know why Marie all of the sudden decided to stand and show herself to Eli.

She looked at Eli, and Eli stared back, she's examining Marie and I know she noticed my shirt and sweatpants on her as well as their slight resemblance.

Eli's mouth is slightly opened "I did not know you have a visitor" she hushed, she looks at me with a question in her eyes and her eyes glances back at Marie
