John invited all of us for dinner after we went to the police station, we drive downtown and choose a grill bar restaurant
"Are you sure in this?" John hesitated, I can see how unsure he is as he roam his eyes around the area
"Relax John you will love in there I promise" I pulled his arm, and he followed. John is so used in eating on formal diners and I can't stand those kind of restaurants so I wanted him to loosen up a bit and try some "commoner" food. I glanced at Alex who is looking at me
"Your first time too?" I asked him nudging his side
"Ms. Reed I was a working student all my life, this is fancy for me already" he smiled
"Shit!" I told him
"What?" Alex asked looking at his sides, alarmed at my sudden outburst
"You're smiling, it suits you well. I am glad you are following what I said to you" I said to him, I saw his face turned to scarlet red and avoided my gaze
"You tell him Eli, he needs to loosen up a bit, this kid is so formal" John chuckled. So we choose a big table that could fit us all after we give our orders John called Travis
"I am just wondering" John brushed his chin as his eyes keeps on glancing at Ash then to him
"Yes Atty. Reed?" Travis lifted his head
"Does your parents know that you are dating Eli's friend?" John suddenly asked, I immediately turned my head to John, are lawyers allowed to asked questions like this?
"They no need to know about my personal life, as long as I run the businesses smoothly then we are good" Travis chuckled and John just nodded.
"And Rob don't you want to return to your own company? After all Eli is going to New Jersey this fall" he cupped his chin on his hand.
"I am going back to New Jersey this fall John" he smiled at him
"Wow that's great so that William have someone to help him in his business, I admire your father's tenacity and strong will power" John laughed
"Actually I would be a professor this fall" then there was silence, and I don't know if I would laugh or what, we never mentioned to anyone that Rob was accepted at Princeton yet. I can feel all the eyes in the table on us.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Travis was the first one who talked
"You know my plan Travis" Rob shot him a glance, I can feel the tension of our table right now, and if I don't know the truth then I might be as tensed as they are, everyone around us keep on glancing to me and Rob.
"Don't tell me it's Rutgers" Missy gasped as she looked at me and Rob
"And all I thought you guys will have a little bit of freedom since you two will be in a different state now" Jayson added. I looked at Rob and he was hiding his laughter, I nudged at him and he looked at me
"Shall I tell them?" I laugh and I looked at Rob and he nodded
"Eli, this is serious you know that your relationship right now is taboo, and the people here in the table thought that after your graduation you guys will be okay, I mean not totally free since you need to at least wait a few months to go out and be proud of what you had but at least your relationship will no longer be unethical. Rob teaching in Rutgers will just make your relationship still unethical, do you like that? Do you want that Rob will keep you a secret? And you as well?" John said, I looked at Alex and he was staring at us as well, it made me more smile. I know they mean well but I just can't help but to laugh on their reactions
"Guys he will not be my professor, because he will be at Princeton" I finally said
"You got a job in Princeton?!" Travis looked at Rob bewildered
