We entered his house and it looks exactly as the last time I'm here. I set my bag at the couch while Rob went to his kitchen to check what we can have for dinner.
"Eli, I only have stir fry, is that okay?" He asked through the kitchen
"Excellent" I answered, when was the last time someone cooked for me?
After a while he called me for dinner, I stood up inhaling the aroma. He pulled the chair besides me and we started to eat.
"Wow, that was really good" I leaned my back at the chair, patting my stomach
"You making me blush" he joked
"No it was, you cook well" I said, he grabbed my hands and kissed it, now it was my turn to blush
"I got lots of practice in college, my room mate was such a pain in the ass, I don't like to survive on instant ramens you know" he said while he collected our plates and place it on the sink, I went back to the living room and sat down at his couch, he followed after
"So?" He asked after a few minutes then went to sit besides me
"I don't know Rob how to tell it" I admitted, what if he will run away?
"Eli, please talk, your load will be lighter, I promise I will not judge" he hushed I gave him a tight smile, and all of the sudden I believed with his promise,for the first time I feel that someone will never judge, and in that moment I believed that someone do actually care.
"Where to start?" Bitting my lower lip, but all of the sudden he pulled my face and he sucked my lower lip, I was baffled at the same time a short electric shot in to my nerves then he released me, I looked at him surprised he looked back at me smirking
"You don't know how many times I wanted to bite those lips too" then he brushed his thumb on my bottom lip
"If you do that then I may not tell you what I needed to, so stop distracting me" I rolled my eyes to him
"Don't you know the amount of self control I need to do during class when you bit your lip? You are quite a distraction as well Ms. Reed" he pulled my hands and hold it
"Are we going to talk about what's happening about me? Or are we going to just make out?" He laughed out loud, then pinched my nose, I wrinkled my nose because of it
"Hmmm.. we could do both" he teased me, I looked over him and can't help notice how far different he is now than earlier wherein he is so in despair. I look at him with my hands across my chest, then he stopped laughing when he saw my face turned into a serious one
"Alright I am all ears" he leaned his back on the couch. I took a deep breath then close my eyes
"The time you saw me in Charleston, well you know that I met my grandfather for the first time" I looked at him then he nods. I told him everything on how my grandfather called me and the stories that up until now it is so hard to believe.
"Then when you dropped me at our house I saw my mom, her eyes were bloodshot red, and her voice was eerie" I shudder about the memory. I went on by telling on what I saw and how I ran away until I stopped into an abandoned house.
"Then when I returned at our house, it was spotless clean but when I entered my room it was turned upside down all of my things were scattered, and..and the money I save for my car was gone, I've been saving that for years and now it's gone, I hate to admit it but I think my mother use it for drugs, since she lost the bakery and all of that. It make sense Rob, it make sense there was a time when they asked for my trust fund then when I did not agree with them he hit me and that time around I stood up for myself...." I stopped because Rob pulled me at arm's length
