I walked into the cafeteria, which is quiet—not perfectly quiet, but devoid of the normal commotion and talk. All eyes are on their phones. When I arrived at the line to buy food and sat with my companions. I noticed that Benjamin was not with us, good I thought as I think back to his face earlier, I grinned.
"Hey Eli!" Ash looked up from her phone once I sat down next to her
"Someone is happy" I commented by the look on his face
"Oh, everybody in school is happy and in love" she took a deep breath, I laughed and shake my head
"Well that's good then" I commented, Ash looked at me confuse
"You did not saw the video yet, don't you?" She looked at me as if the video she is saying depends my life on it
"What video?" As I opened my sandwich, she shake her head then grabbed her phone and give it to me
"What am I going to do with this?" I stared at her phone dumbfounded
"Go to videos, idiot" she smacked the phone in my palms
I took a deep breath and followed what she said. I went to her gallery and played the first video that was saved in there. My eyes widen as I saw it! It was a video of Rob from our class earlier!
"Love is a complicated feeling, it is indeed a short word but it is hard to define. I can give up everything for the woman I love, I don't care if I am going to loose everything, if loosing everything means that I can keep her forever, then I will do it, because that woman is worth it"
Rob's voice is heard in the video while he was gazing forward, he was undoubtedly staring at Benjamin, and that moment was recorded without his consent .
"Is that even legal?" I asked returning the phone to Ash
"Who cares? Like he did something nasty" Ash hushed, I looked around the cafeteria and most of them are still on their phones, probably watching over and over the video of Rob
"Is that the reason why people are quiet?" I turned back my gaze at our table
"Of course, I didn't know Mr. Bailey is such a romantic person" Missy commented
"Where that video came from?" I asked them
"From Sylvia"
"Right, Sylvia is a timid girl, I did not expect she will took a video" I shake my head
"Wait! So he said that during your class?" Ash gasped, I nodded
"So you personally heard it?" Oh, honey he told that specifically to me I nodded once more smirking inside my head
"Oh My, if I heard that I literally melt, his girl is lucky" Ash pouted
"So you decided that he have a girlfriend now?" Missy laughed
"From the way he talks in that video, it surely does Missy. Did you not hear what he said – she is worth it" Ash waved her hands and make the quotation sign, Missy just shrugged. I kept my head down, my friends don't have the tiniest idea that they are talking about me.
"So tell me why did he told that?" Ash turned to me. I explained what happened during Benjamin's presentation
"I'm glad Mr. Bailey was a sport enough to answer it, I agreed with Seamus tho of asking a question not related to the topic" Alice commented
"Mr. Bailey raising the bar high" Ash whistled
"I know right!" Tyler and Jayson complained, we all laughed. I'm not sure how to feel about it; he essentially told the entire class—and now the entire school—about what he feels about me and to be honest it has a strange sweetness to it, which I don't mind of course.
