The dew from rain covered the surface of the car, each raindrop dripped down the glass windows of the car and every raindrop was being counted by kousu due to somewhat boredom and confusion. The car wasn't empty. It had three passengers in it, Jie jie, Kousu and the driver.
Jie jie was sleeping and the driver was silent all the way home. The traffic on the roads was what made it worse. The flashing lights and horns of every car blew. Kousu hoped for it to not wake Jie Jie up.
After hearing Jie Jie's story, Kousu was trapped in his own past. The raindrops that dropped down the window made his eyes flush and dark memories altered his thinking .To think someone like Jie jie would be raped, bullied and devoid of company just because of one person. Kousu wanted to get angry and upset but the anger couldn't flow in him. All he did was meditate and try to cool himself down from the burning rage hidden deep inside him.
But even though he felt rage towards Do Jin. he hated and was displeased with himself, he never expected his actions to take a huge toll on Jie Jie's life. Maybe there was a reason why fate brought them together. Was fate trying to punish him or was fate trying to make him understand his mistakes.
The driver called out to kousu. " Young Master, this journey might take a while. "
Kousu didn't mind the journey taking forever. He had things to ponder on and if he managed to get home on time a lot of things would distract him. " It's fine. Drive slowly and if you get tired tell me. So i can drive"
The driver nodded his head with astonishment. His young master had never been so nice to him. Normally his young master was nice but this level of nice was something that had to do with remorse.
The flashing lights and blowing winds added to the peace in kousu's mind.
His past was somewhat the same as Jie Jie; they both had someone special taken away from them and all they could do was watch.
Unlike Jie jie, Kousu had someone to stand by him but Jie jie had no one but Jay and Jay was killed by him. Kousu still couldn't remember who Jay was. Not even a glitch on his face was recognizable to kousu. He had killed so many people to the point he couldn't remember his victims face. What made Kousu feel pity for Jie Jie was the fact that even though Jie Jie had so many chances to kill Kousu he still refused.
For sure kousu would be pleased if Jie Jie ended his life. Afterall his life was full of potholes.
The night sky covered the surface of the earth like a mother protecting its child. The stars twinkled proudly and the rushing winds gave off a peaceful atmosphere to the dark and evil of the night.
Suddenly a loud ding woke kousu from his daydreaming. He picked up his phone in anger and checked to see who was calling. It was Sai. Kousu wasn't ready for Sai, he was too busy.
The ringing continued and soon kousu couldn't stand it and he picked the call. " What!"
Sai answered. " Where are you?"
Kousu was quick to respond to the question. " I am heading home with Jie jie."
Sai, " So early. School just finished."
Kousu, " He got bullied today. His injuries are really bad and he might need to see Huang Ning incase of any injuries. "
Sai, " ...If you need me. I am always available. "
Kousu smiled, what he needed now was rest. All the voices in his head were pushing him and filling him with regret and hate. They all wanted Kousu's downfall. Maybe the voices were the souls of the people he had killed. " If you want to help me. Come over to my house."
"..."
Sai didn't respond. He was unsure if he was talking to the right person.
" You coming or what!"
Sai, " Ya! Sure I will. "
Kousu clicked his phone and the call went off. Sai was the only one who could make him feel at peace at the moment. The number of things going on in his head made him want to sleep. His head was hot and his breathing was becoming heavy. Even his sight went blurry. Was he not feeling well?
His eyes slowly closed. And his vision turned black.
Once he opened his eyes again he was in an empty space. With a little iron lotus on the floor. Kousu was amused by the lotus. Lotus were plants and always soft but this one were as hard as a rock. He bent down to touch the unique lotus. Touching every corner of it and feeling its hard edges. The more he touched it the more other lotuses appeared. It wasn't strange to him because he was too engaged with the lotuses' jade pigment.
Kousu said." It's really pretty"
The lotus was truly beautiful and their iron skin reflected the radiant sun. kousu stood up once he was done with them. He still needed to find his way back to his realm but something was stopping his movement. There was something holding on to his legs, something powerful and strong. He turned over to his leg only to see a strange ghoul-like creature holding on to him.
He kicked his leg and swung the beast away. The beast died in an instant but immediately it died blood leaked out of its body and the blood regenerated to more ghoul like creatures.
The iron lotuses which kousu admired caught on to his dress and he was unable to move. He twisted and turned but the lotus wouldn't let loose. The army of ghouls walked slowly towards kousu. They looked tattered and unkept, their bodies were black and their eyes were gouged out. They wept as they moved closer. When they were close to kousu they all shouted. " Why did you kill us!"
Kousu jacked back up from the nightmare. He twisted his head around to see if he was still in the empty room but he was in the car and his driver was still driving.
The driver saw the terrified look on his young master and asked. " Sir, are you okay?"
Kousu sighed and responded. " I am okay!"
