Childhood Friends 7.

Huang Ning rushed to the hospital on his motorbike with Li Huawei, Sai and Li Chen following from behind.

When they reached the hospital they were greeted by Huang Ning's mom, Huang Xin, Mei Lian and Mei Xuan. There were also a few other people but from guesses it was easy to know they were just relatives or family friends.

Huang Xin had been crying all the way there, his nose was red and his eyes were swollen. He already knew his twin brother had an accident and his chances of survival was zero.

But he wasn't the only one crying, Mei Lian and His Mom were also crying. This was the first time Huang Ning had seen his mom cry and even he started to cry.

Behind the ward door his brother was on the bed grasping any chance of survival while he was here wasting his time and unable to do anything. Huang Ning wished he was the one on the bridge of death rather than his innocent brother who knew nothing of this. Afterall if he died no one would care and no one would even give him a proper burial but Kousu was just an innocent boy who knew nothing, he never did anything wrong to the horn gang and he never came in conflict with a gang before.

Once Jiang Jingyi saw Huang Ning she glared at him with disgust. She shouted in anger, " Why aren't you on the hospital bed. Why did Huang Haoyu have to be there instead of you? Why aren't you the one dying? A bastard child like you only deserves death. Not an innocent man who had to deal with the sight of you every day of his life." The woman shouted in range, she couldn't contain her emotions anymore and so she turned it into rage.

Huang Ning didn't even bother to speak, he only lowered his head and let his mom shout at him as much as she wanted as long as it was able to calm her down and give her the slightest peace.

Li Huawei watched from the side, he was obscured by the scene. No matter how much a mother hates her son, she should show the slightest pity especially when she knows it wasn't his fault but instead Jiang Jingyi was spouting all manners of curses on Huang Ning.

Although Li Huawei didn't want to interfere in the families problems he still couldn't stand watching Huang Ning get blamed for something he didn't do. " You shouldn't blow curses on an innocent man."

Jiang Jingyi averted her gaze to Li Huawei and gave him a disgusted glare. " Who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do? This bastard of a child has poured curses to my husband! He deserves nothing but death!"

Just as the woman spoke Li Huawei's brain was calculating all manners of ways to shut the woman up. Until he finally got the perfect plan. " You act like you care but in all the words you have mentioned none of them have to do with Kousu"

Jiang Jingyi kept quiet that instant and everyone's gaze was upon her.

When Li Huawei saw he was at the upper hand he continued. " Now you are silent. How can you call yourself a mother when your child is miserable in bed but all you do is curse an innocent child who wasn't even in the accident. Only a child would act in such a way. If you truly want your husband to recover i would advise you stop shouting and pray that your husband and Your child will recover."

Jiang Jingyi immediately kept quiet, even though she wanted to spout nonsense again she knew no one was on her side for this. Instead everyone believed what Li Huawei had said was correct.

Sai watched from the corner without saying anything and Li Chen just stayed by his side to protect him. Sai was unsure of what was going on but since he heard his brother talk about Kousu, he was making sure to check around to see when Kousu would come.

Just when everywhere had gone silent the doctor came out with a sad look on. He turned over to Jiang Jingyi and shook his head. The nurses came out after the doctor and went over to Huang Ning to whisper to him. " Mr Huang Haoyu is dead."

Jiang Jingyi stared from a distance, her eyes filled with hope. She asked. " Did Haoyu..Did..He make it? "

The doctor shook his head once more, " No.. He didn't"

Jiang Jingyi felt her heart ache and she fell to the ground with tears dripping from her eyes. Her face was pale like she had seen a ghost, her hands were shaken with fear and her serious look crept away and what came after was a depressed look.

Huang Ning was too afraid to ask but Li Huawei did it for him. " Did Kousu survive?"

The doctor sighed but said." Yes he did."

When Huang Ning and the other relatives heard of it their worry reduced and their face had little hope.

But the doctor was yet to finish. " But he has a brain tumor. We will need to undergo surgery as soon as possible. But all I can say is he might not remember a single thing so the best you can do is to support him."

Huang Ning thanked the doctor and the doctor went back to Kousu's ward.

When the doctor was gone Jiang Jingyi continued her wailing and complaining. " Why? Why did he have to die? Why didn't Kousu just die instead?"

Anger flooded into Huang Ning but just as he was about to start a fight with his mom Li Chen cried.

" Sai! Sai is gone"

Hearing this Li Huawei and Huang Ning rushed to go find Sai. They went through every reception and asked every doctor or nurse if they had seen Sai but they all gave the same answer." No"

Now Li Huawei was panicking, he needed to find Sai as soon as possible. No matter what. He and Huang Ning decided to go different ways and try to find Sai and so they did.

With this Li Huawei was able to find Sai but when he found Sai he was shaken to his feet.

For the first time ever Sai was crying, hot tears rolled down Sai's eyes as his golden eyes went dull and his puffy cheeks turned red from the tears.

Li Huawei went over to hug his brother and try to comfort him.

But Sai's tears only increased. " Kousu! Kousu is going to forget me..sniff.. Kousu is in the hospital bed because of me... I was too weak...I couldn't save him..I was weak...I will never see Kousu again.." Sai continued crying and before Li Huawei knew it he joined in with the cries.

Because the Brain tumor increased, Kousu was taken to an American hospital to undertake his final surgery. After this Sai and Kousu never crossed paths with each other and the only thing Sai had to remember Kousu was the jade necklace but Kousu had nothing he could use to remember Sai...
