Sworn friends!

Jay's house had not changed, the big apartment building had twenty floors and a little car park for small cars. It was not special, rather it was pretty old with paint on to hide its cracks . Compared to Jie jie's house, this house was a blessing. It was big, spacious and beautiful, not like his house that was small and soon to be demolished. Jie jie stared at the old building as memories flooded his brain. He remembered the time when he and Jay would run around the compound causing a nuisance to the neighbors. It would be so funny when the neighbors would come out in their robes throwing their shoes at them.

Jie Jie's mom was next to him, her eyes were swollen and her face was rough and red. Her skin was pale and her body was thin enough to show her bones. Jie jie only felt pity towards his mom and regretted the fact that he couldn't do anything. Their father had left them, his sister was in the hospital and his mom's business had crashed. They were hopelessly poor and weak.

Jie jie's mom stood at the door to her friend's apartment building. Knocking on this door would bring her disgrace and her only chance of hope but now she had no point in thinking of her status. She knocked on the door hoping someone was home.

The door slid open and Jay stared at Jie jie before turning over to his mom. He called out. " Mom! Miss jie is here!"

Once Jay's mom heard this she ran over to the door to welcome them in but seeing her friend's condition she hid her smile and warmly asked them to come in.

Jay didn't bother to even glance at jie jie he only gave him a disgusted look and walked over to his room leaving jie jie to feel guilty of what he was unsure of.

However, Jay's mom had already guessed that the boys had an argument and so she said." Jie jie could you give me and your mom some time. Why don't you go over to jay's room"

Jie jie was unwilling to go but once he saw the depressed face of his mother he sighed and went over to jay.

Jay was disgusted to see jie jie in his room, he was about to leave when jie jie said. " I didn't come here on my own. Your mom needed some quiet time with my mom"

Jay said annoyedly " Like I care bastard! Get the fuck out of my room. "

The word bastard made jie jie crumble, he was shaken by the word and the realization that he had no father anymore. He slowly bent his head and sank to the ground covering his head and letting the tears fall down heavily. " Do you think this is funny? Do you think I don't care about you? You called me a damn bastard. Well that's what I am. I am a damn coward with a best friend, who doesn't even give a shit about me. Isn't it enough that you don't even care about my feelings? You think you are the only important one. At least you are lucky! You got a mom who cares about you and a dad who isn't damn depressing. You are handsome and smart and people always like being around you. Look at me i don't have any friends my dad left. My sister is a cripple and my mom is depressed. My whole world is over and when I thought my best friend would be there. He just left me hanging..."

Jie jie's cries were loud and full of sympathy, his whimpers and sobs shocked jay who didn't expect jie jie to cry over something like friendship. He sighed and went over to jie jie hugging him and comforting him. " Okay i wouldn't do it again–Now stop acting like a wimp. You look disgusting when you cry" jie jie cried louder whilst holding on to jay and refusing to let go.

Jie jie shouted. " Jay, you want information about Sai, right? I will join sai's gang an give you as much information as you want"

Jay pushed jie jie away to take a glance at him, he was confused on how jie jie knew about him and sai, but he asked. " Who told you that?"

Jie jie answered. " It was Do Jin"

Jay scolded. " Stay away from that guy. He is nothing but bad luck, someone like him shouldn't be friends with someone like you"

Jie jie" But i needed him to get information on how you were doing"

Jay gnashed his teeth" Well you don't need him now!"

Jie jie was happy to see they were back to normal, he wiped his tears and sat back up and changed his tone to a more serious one. " You want information about sai right?"

Jay was unwilling to answer but he said. " Yes. But you don't need to get any information about him. I wouldn't let you get in any gang problems. I am already a threat to you.."

Before jay could finish jie jie jumped in " Is that why you were ignoring me?"

Annoyed jay wacked jie jie on the head. " That's not why. I was just annoyed that you were forcing me to date some girl"

Jie jie" But i didn't force you i was only saying you should at least appreciate the hard work the girl put into it"

Jay smirked." Isn't that the same as forcing me?"

Jie jie was really annoyed. He never intended to force Jay to date the girl; he only wanted him to show respect to her hard work. " fine! Have it your way then" jie jie said.

Jay smiled in a strange way, he was acting rather suspicious.

Jie jie asked." Why are you looking at me like that?"

Jay " you have a crush on someone right"

Jie jie's face flushed uncontrollably he was unable to hide his shocked and yet blushing face. He answered. " So what if I like someone!"

Jay smiled. " I need to know their name so i can give them my blessings"

Jie jie was reluctant to answer but he finally spoke. " it's sai"

Jay asked, he was unable to here jie jie because he was mumbling. " What?"

Jie jie shouted. " It's sai!"

Jay froze up.

Jie jie" what!"

Jay" you have a crush on a guy! How cute!"

Jie jie" Shut up!"
