Eventually Kousu finally bought the baby items, he bought two shoes, female and male. Twenty clothes, ten female and ten male and a few baby toys.

With this Dan Hua had more things to carry while Kousu was just skipping around with only one shopping bag in hand.

Since they were finally done shopping, they went over to see the Akkun company's new branch opening.

They soon reached the opening and a crowd of people were there. Kousu managed to push through the crowd but Dan Hua was left behind.

Mei Lian was in front with a giant scissors in her hand and when she saw Kousu she smiled.

" Today we are going to be opening the new Akkun magazine branch at the count of five."

Everyone counted. " one..two..three..four...five!"

Once they had finished counting, Mei Lian cut the ribbon that was tied to the entrance of Akkun magazines but as she did so there was a sudden loud gunshot and when everyone heard it they began to scamper and run.

With the stampede Kousu was unable to see clearly and he soon fell to the ground when he opened his eyes again. He saw a man with a black mask walk over to his sister, the man had a gun in his hand and he pointed it at Mei Lian.

" Mei Lian watch out!"

Before Kousu was able to stop the black–masked man, the man quickly pulled the trigger and Mei Lian jerked and fell down. She had been shot in the chest.

Kousu rushed over to his sister and grabbed her, resting her head on his lap. He carried her on his back and yelled. " Mei Lian don't you dare die on me."

Mei Lian's eyes were already blurry and with her breathing becoming difficult she could only hope for the best, she held onto her brother and said comfortingly. " Kousu, i..i am sorry. But if I die."

Kousu yelled. " You wouldn't die!"

" Take care of my baby for me..sniff..please don't let him die.." Mei Lian cried.

Everywhere had gone dusty and Kousu was unable to find Dan Hua. he called Dan Hua's name again and again but Dan Hua didn't answer and now Kousu knew he was on his own.

He picked up his phone and called the ambulance as quickly as he could. His sister was already finding it hard to breathe and her chances of survival were very low.

" Mei Lian! Don't you dare die on me! We can still make it, just hold on."

" Kousu! I don't want to die." Mei Lian cried.

Kousu was trying his best to comfort his cousin now, but his tear glands were already filled and if he didn't cry he was sure they would soon burst out with tears.

Eventually the ambulance came and Kousu sat next to Mei Lian in the ambulance. Mei Lian was still holding on to Kousu and Kousu was still holding on to her.

The nurses had already placed her on an oxygen concentrator. And Mei Lian was still alive holding on to every chance she had.

If she wasn't rushed to the hospital soon her and her baby could die. And there was a chance that either her or her baby was going to die.

Kousu's phone rang and Kousu picked it up, his hands were still shaking and his phone nearly fell off. The call was from Dan Hua and Kousu immediately picked it up,

" Kousu, where are you?"

" Mei Lian she..."

" Don't worry everything will be fine..Just breathe in"

" I couldn't protect her, Dan Hua. and the baby.."

" I found the person who shot her. The person is from the horn gang...Kousu, trust me your cousin is going to be okay."

Kousu's phone fell down to the ground. When he heard Horn Gang his hands shook in fear. He didn't think that the Horn Gang would hurt something he loved so much.

He didn't think people would be so wicked enough to harm an innocent mother and a child. Mei Lian didn't do anything to the Horn Gang and she even had a child for one of their former members. Yet the horn gang were so wicked and ruthless.

They could have harmed me, why did they have to go for Mei Lian? What did she do to them? Why? Why? Why?.

" Why can't i just fucking die?" Kousu whispered.

The nurse who was seated next to Kousu placed his arm on Kousu's shoulder and said. " Everything is going to be alright. It's not your fault"

Even though everyone told Kousu it was not his fault. Kousu knew that deep inside it was all his fault. Assuming he didn't try to find his father's murderer he wouldn't have had anything to do with the horn gang. Assuming he simply gave up and accepted his brother's control, He wouldn't have become an assassin. Assuming he wasn't so weak he would have saved his sister. None of the bad things he had to endure would have happened if he just stayed silent, if he just allowed them to use him. If he just let them rape him and tear away his dignity, if he just didn't kill and stayed away form gangs, if he just listened to his brother and hid behind him like the coward, the wimp, the bastard, the dipshit, the asshole that he truly was...

None of it would have happened if he had just stayed on his own, if he had just let it be. If he wasn't so into justice and revenge. The only thing revenge brought him was more bad luck. Everyone he loved kept on dying or running away from him, everyone he held onto. They just kept on leaving him to be consumed by the demonic souls inside of him. The fear, the detest, the vengeance, the hatred which ate him up from inside and all he could do was slowly deform and turn into a puppet and be manipulated, all he did was watch the ones he loved suffer like the little coward he was.

Die! Die! Die! Why can't i fucking die!
