Two years later.

I was walking around the fountain outside of the cathedral, my head leant against Ronans shoulder as we circled it with our arm interlocked. We were in Dublin for the rest of the week, it was a holiday we'd planned for Noah. He was so grown up now and Sierra wanted to show him where their family was from, Ronan had used it as an excuse to get away from the club. We'd visited the cathedral all together yesterday when I'd wondered aloud what it would look like at night and he'd promised me it was beautiful before surprising me when the sun had set. He hadn't lied, it truly was amazing. The fountain had lights beneath the water, lighting it up from beneath and making the entire courtyard light up.

"Have you heard from Tahlia?" He asked, interrupting the comfortable silence. I nodded, pulling the scarf away from my face. It was so much colder here than back home, it was mid November but I hadn't expected to have to wear hats gloves and scarves as well as the biggest coat I could find as soon as we'd arrived at our hotel.

"Her and Chris have gone to Hawaii." I told him, looking up at the sky with a smile. The stars were brightly twinkling down on us and I imagined that Axel had came to Dublin with us, that he'd watched his sons face light up at the place of his mothers favourite place. "She's living the dream, swimming with the dolphins or whatever."

Ronan chuckled, freeing his arm from my own and I frowned at him. He smiled sheepishly at me, before looking up at the sky like she'd done before. For the first time since knowing him he actually looked nervous and now that I thought about it he had been acting shifty all night. "Are you okay?"

He quickly looked down at me, a forced confused expression on his face. "Im fine love." I narrowed my eyes at him, searching his face for whatever it was that was making him act so strangely. "I promise." He took my hand, kissing the back of it before pulling a face and pulling the glove away. The cold air attacked my skin, causing goosebumps to trail it's way up beneath my coat before they disappeared at the feel is his warm lips against my hand. I smiled at him, it soon disappearing as he got down on one knee in front of me.

In his other hand he no longer held my discarded glove but was presenting a navy blue velvet covered box. "Ronan?" I questioned, my eyes wide with surprise and a number of thoughts swirling in my head. Excitement was beginning to creep up too, reminding me how much I loved this man and if he was asking me what I thought he was then I already knew my answer.

He let out a shaky breath, paired with a nervous crooked smile. "Ava." He cleared his throat at the sound of his shaky tone. "Ava Buckley, you are my best friend as well as the love of my life. You are the most important person to ever exist to me, please don't ever tell my ma I said that." I giggled, the happiest of tears burning the backs of my eyes. He smiled up at me, a genuine smile that warmed my heart from the inside out and finally freed my tears. "I worship the ground you walk on and I plan to do so for the rest of my life if you'll have me. I love you so much Ava, would you do me the honour of marrying me and making me the happiest man alive?" His eyes glinted hopefully, the warm colour reflecting from the lights beneath the waters surface and brightening his face.

I tucked my bottom lip beneath my front teeth, nodding my head as my tears raced down my cheeks. His face lit up, prying open the box that I'd completely forgotten he was holding. It was a silver banded ring, small diamonds decorating its entirety before meeting in the middle where a circular diamond lay that currently held all of the light that seemed to envelope us in our own happy bubble. "Is that a yes love?"

"Yes!" I told him, my voice echoing around the courtyard filled with all the love and excitement I felt thrumming throughout my body that only increased as he pushed the ring onto my finger. I barely looked at it as I threw myself over, nearly knocking him over before he caught the both of us. I grabbed his face between my two hands, peppering his face with kisses as he swung me around. He finally placed me back onto the ground, pressing his lips against mine with his hands placed firmly against my hips.
