{14}Smiles and a porcelain doll

Raven's POV

I sat up, light streaming through a curtain beside my bed. I rubbed my eyes and yawned, Stretching my other arm up. I closed my eye's for another moment, Before standing up and getting out from under the warm sheets.

I wonder if Skye's awake yet. She should be, Since it was almost 12:00. But usually she wakes me up around 10:00.

I walked out of my room and across the living room to get to Skye's room. I knocked on her door before entering.

"Sky-" I started, Before I realized she was still sleeping. She was curled up under her blanket, with her face half way under the covers. It wasn't very often that I woke up before her. She went back to bed early the night before, So I didn't see any reason for her to be sleeping.
Unless the shady twins did something. I watched her for a moment before deciding to wake her up.

"Hey, Skye." I tried shaking her arm.

"Skye..." I said again a little louder.

She scrunched up her nose before taking a deep breath and opening her eyes. She yawned and then looked at me like she was surprised.

"What? I'm hungry." I pouted as she sat up and looked at her clock. Her eyes widened and she tossed her blanket off to the side.

"Why did you let me sleep so long?" She asked, her voice still scratchy from just waking up. She was now standing up and stretching.

"Because I just woke up too. Now make me breakfast!" I said playfully pointing at her. She smiled and began to walk out to the kitchen, still stretching.

"And I'm pretty sure it's lunch time!" She called from the kitchen. I let out a small laugh and walked out to sit on the couch. I yawned and clicked the T.V on with the romate. Which reminded me. When did the twins leave? I think I fell asleep before Skye, So maybe...

"Hey, Skye?"

"Yea?" She answered poking her head out from behind the slight wall that was blocking my view of her.

"When did those evil twins leave?" I asked as she flipped something in a pan.

"Huh? Um. I don't really know..." She said trailing off towards the end.

"What?"

"I fell asleep before they left...Sorry!" she explained bringing out a plate. On it was a grilled cheese. She had another plate, which I assumed was hers, with the same thing. She sat down and tore a piece off the edge, nibbling on it peacefully.

That's when I noticed a small piece of paper beside where she sat.

"What's that?" I asked taking a bite out of the grilled cheese and pointing to beside her.

"Hm?" She asked looking where I pointed. She noticed it too and picked it up. She leaned towards me so I could read what was on it. Apparently it was a note.

Raven and Skye,
We went ahead and left after eating. Thanks for the meal, and sorry again! I cleaned the dishes so don't worry. Please come to school tomorrow! -Kaoru (and Hikaru)

Ok, so maybe the evil twins weren't that evil. But it doesn't change the fact about what they did. Plus it was already too late to go to school.

Oh well.

I looked up at Skye who had a look of guilt spread across her face.

"Now I feel bad." She said with a sad sigh. I looked at her in disbelief. Why did she have to feel like everything was her fault or her burden.
