{39} Fair -Part 2-

Raven's POV

I came to an abrupt stop and looked around quickly for Skye as soon as Kaoru released me. I was about to march away to find her when he grabbed my wrist.

"Hey, let's just go enjoy ourselves for a while. Skye will be fine. I promise." He reassured me as if he were a mind-reader. 

"How would you know?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"It's a harmless fair. She's with Hikaru. Plus Skye is smart, she wouldn't do anything that would get her in trouble, am I wrong?" He asked grinning because he knew that he was right.

"No." I mumbled.

"Alright then. What should we do first?" He asked looking around.

"Are you a scaredy cat, or do you have the guts to ride...that?" I asked pointing to a rollercoasters with a few twists and turns and loops.

"Are you kidding? That's a baby ride compared to what I rode last time." He smirked and began to drag me off to the ride.

We got in and buckled up and I turned to Kaoru as the ride attendant checked seatbelts.

"Don't hang on to me when you get scared." I grinned.

"Right back at you!" He said before the ride started and we zoomed off to the first hill. We went up slowly and sped down quickly.

I put my hands in the air and let out a shout of joy. I hadn't had this much fun for a while.

We went up and down a couple times before going upside down and around twice. I kept my hands up the whole time.

"Whoo! That was amazing." I smiled as I took the seat belt off.

"Yeah? You like roller coasters?"

"Apparently." I grinned. I hadn't gone on any before, but I knew for sure now that they were absolutely amazing. 

"Let's go on a couple more things before we go eat." He suggested.

"I don't have any money." I sighed. I wanted to get cotton candy. Skye said that it was good.

"I'm going to pay." He smiled. I turned around to walk in front of him. I thought for a moment before speaking.

"Skye would kill me."

"Would she really?" He asked raising an eyebrow in sarcasm.

"Perhaps." I said turning around again.

"No she wouldn't. Plus she would want you to have new experiences." He said pointing out that obvious fact.

"I guess." I muttered with a small sigh. 

"Good. Let's go to the drop tower next." He grinned and I nodded in agreement. It sounded fun.

We made our way to the large tower I knew Skye would never ride and buckled up.

"How long does it take to get up?" I asked after about thirty seconds of a continuously never ending slow ride up.

"That's the fun part. You never know when it'll drop." He smirked as we continued going up. This was probably the tallest thing in the fair.

I kicked my feet as we came to a stop at the top. I waited for a couple seconds before turning to Kaoru.

"Are we stu-" I started before I felt my stomach drop along with the view.

We slowed down and came to a stop and I was stunned. What had just happened, was my first thought. Then it processed and I was in awe. 

"Wow." I muttered as I ran my hand through my hair before hopping off the ride.
