Ravens POV

It had been a couple hours, and I had been watching Skye read to the girl nervously the entire time.

Suddenly she closed the book and looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Raven, can you please switch with me?" she begged as the little girl let out a giggle.

I really didn't want to, but I figured that the Host Club would be back sooner rather than later and so I could just let Skye have a break.

"Fine," I muttered with a sigh, walking over to the couch Skye sat with the little girl.

"Thanks!" she said grinning, giving me a quick hug before rushing off to the kitchen, probably to get food like I did.

"Okay Kirimi. What do you want to read next?" I asked, anxious to see what the girl read anyways.

"Hmmmm. How about this one?" she asked, holding up a manga that had a boy and a girl on the front, back to back with their hands held together.

"Sure. Why not?" I said, opening it up. I was curious as to what the content would be.

Suddenly the girl let out a yawn and I paused, not even getting to the first page.

"Are you tired?" I asked.

"A little bit!" She giggled, and I smiled.

"Want to take a small nap?" I asked and she debated it before giving me the smallest of smiles and a nod before resting her head on my shoulder casually.

As I watched her close her eyes, I thought of how my mother used to calm me and Skye to sleep. She would lay beside us and stroke our hair as she hummed a tune I never learned to name of.

And so I began to hum, slightly amazed at how I could remember the entire thing. I was glad I could for two reasons- It was something to remember my mother by, and it got Kirimi to sleep.

Smiling in triumph, I switched her position so that she was laying on the couch before standing up and placing the manga on the top of a stack that had built up.

"I didn't know you were good with kids."

I turned to find Kaoru walking towards me and I shrugged.

"Not necessarily," I mumbled. Lots of people can put a child to sleep for a nap, Kirimi just happened to be tired.

"I'm not saying you're pro or whatever," he chuckled. "Just that I didn't expect you to like children."

"Who said I liked children?" I asked with a raised brow.

"Nobody has to say anything. It's all in the way you act," he grinned before sitting down with a sigh. How long had he been watching me anyways? Discarding the thought, I turned to face hi,.

"What's going on with Nekozawa?" I asked out of curiosity, deciding to put that to the side.

"Nothing much. He's made a little bit of progress, but not enough to see his sister yet."

"Is it tiring?" I asked after he shut his eyes and leaned back. He let out a soft laugh.

"Yeah, I guess. I didn't really do anything though." He sighed once more, still leaning back with closed eyes.

"Oh," I mumbled. Strands of his hair fell in front of his eyes, and I had an urge to brush them away from his face.

"You sound tired too. What's on your mind?" he asked leaning forward and opening his eyes before blinking a couple of times. I bit my lip in thought.
